Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my 1985 Honda ATC 350X. I have owned this ATC for the last 24 years. I rode this as a teenager but then switched to quads and lost interest in this ATC. I never had the heart to sell it because it was such a great machine that was a blast to ride with tons of power. I put this trike in storage and that's where it has sat for about 18 years give or take. I finally decided to get it out and get it running again. Now its time for it to move to a new home where it can be rode like it deserves to be. This ATC is in very good shape for its year, it was never a trailer queen, it was rode, therefore it has all the normal wear and tear it should have including scratches in the plastic and dings and scratches on the wheels. It still wore the OEM Ohtsu rear tires when I got it out but they were dry rotted so I installed new 20" rear tires. the fork boots were also cracked so new ones were installed. The rear brakes were replaced and all fluid front and rear was drained and replaced. Oil was changed with filter. When I stored this ATC I did not understand the importance of draining the gas first so some rust did form in the bottom of the tank. I have spent many hours cleaning the inside of the tank, and then gave it a coat of KBS Gold Standard tank sealer (bottom 1/4). The tank does not leak and there are no loose particles floating around. The tank has no dents with only minor staining on the paint. The carb was fully cleaned and rebuilt and while it starts, runs and rides good, there is some off idle stumble I cant seem to get tuned out, but I'm not a very good carb guy. I think it may be a tad lean because of the K&N filter that I installed, so some jetting may be required. The engine is completely stock (besides air filter). The plastics are in good shape and still retains the desirable rear mud flap. The right rear fender was cracked when a box fell on it in storage. I have plastic welded it from underneath with added filler, it made a very strong repair that it barely visible from the top. The front left air scoop has a small crack by the mounting screw that was welded from the rear as well. The seat and cover are OEM with no rips or tears. All lights work and everything is as it should be. The clutch cable is at its adjustments end so it will probably be needing a clutch sooner or later, but it still works and shifts fine. I have done my best to describe this ATC. I am not interested in deceiving anyone on its condition, that's why I have not painted anything or covered it in Armor All trying to make it into something its not for the camera. I would give this ATC a solid 7/10 for its age, with many years of service left in it. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding. PLEASE READ!! This ATC is being sold as, where is with no warranty. All sales final. Your bid is a contact so ask all questions before bidding. $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due at auction close. Remainder can be paid by cash, Cashiers Check, bank draft. IMPORTANT!! Due to the unfortunate proliferation of fraud (of which I have been a victim) the ATC will not be released until all forms of payment have cleared my bank. This may take a week, it may take a month. So cash is king. This ATC is available for pick up locally or I will be happy to cooperate with the buyer to the best of my abilities if they wish to use a shipping company, but I will not find one for you.
