Vehicle Detail
This 1994 XJS coupe is in very good condition. Before I bought it, it had been repainted in the original metallic green (not British racing green) which I believe is called Brooklands green. It has the European style headlights and the optional headlight washers. There is a small area on the "fin" (connecting area) that runs from the roof to the trunk lid on the passengers side (this is inside that area - cannot be seen when looking at the car from the side - you need to look at that area from the rear of the trunk facing the rear window) where the clear coat has peeled. This area is approximately 5 inches long by 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches in height in the shape of a capital "M". It is relatively inconspicuous. The tires are Michelin P235/60 R15's with a lot of tread left; however there are cracks in the rubber - I was losing air in two of them so I had 4 Coker tubes installed - the problem was solved. I didn't want to buy new tires as the ones on the car have lots of tread. The car runs fine - I drive it on the highway at 65 mph. If it sits in the garage for several weeks without being run, I need to trickle charge the battery. There seems to be a small electrical drain somewhere. I did have my mechanic check this out, but he couldn't find anything specific. When I drive the car regularly, there is no problem with this. The interior of the car is in very good shape - the rear seat is in excellent shape (as no one can fit back there in my opinion). Headliner is fine. Wood panels on doors have cracks - none on the console or elsewhere. Dash is not cracked. I have owned the car for over two years. It is registered, insured, and has a current inspection sticker.
