Tons of potential... This bus looks a little rough around the edges...But with a little elbow grease and a lot of love this could be a very fun bus to own. The 1971 Bus is unique because it is the last year of the up right engine and the first year of front disc brakes. The cool thing about this particular bus is that what you see is what you get. The new owner can build it to their owns taste...Lower it, Raise it, Keep it original, convert to a camper, take it back to a passenger bus, or do a whole new custom interior. I think you get the picture :) Here's some more specific details: The body is pretty straight except for the left rear corner. I'm including a new reproduction corner piece. There's very little rust. A little around the left fender wheel. But the frame/structural area is rust free and the floor is really clean. The interior is a walk through, and like a blank canvas. Headliner has couple tears but in overall good condition. Cargo floor is in excellent condition. Mechanically, I don't know much about it. The motor turns over but doesn't start. Sounds like it may have a loose head or two. Tires are a matched set and still have a lot life left. Factory Gas Heater Drivers window is there but doesn't roll up I was hoping to restore this bus myself, but have found myself with way too many buses and far too little time, so I'm letting go of some of my treasures unrestored.
