Get ready for the snow!! Rugged 4x4 (shift on the fly four wheel drive) Xterra SE for sale in above average condition. Enthusiast owned. 2nd owner. Low reserve! This is a real body on frame, tough as nails SUV. Drive it through snow, off road, up a mountain, or just around town. Since I have owned it, it's been a flawless commuter car. Mileage is 128,000. It is the SE model, which comes with upgraded interior, stereo, roof bars, and wheels. Purchased from a dealer who took it on trade from original owner to buy a new Xterra.Mechanical - Engine runs strong. 4x4 system works perfectly in HI or LO. Auto trans shifts properly. Starts every time, won't let you down. Cruises easily on the highway or around town.Exterior - Body looks great for a 10 year old car. Some of the grey plastics are fading a bit as they are known to do on every Xterra. Surface scratches and small ding or two on the hood and doors, nothing too bad (could come out with a good buffing). It has gunmetal grey wheels off a Supercharged Xterra which look awesome. It's also got the big roof bars and bucket for easy roof rack setups. Originally a Southern Car, it's only seen two New England winters. Interior - The seats had been covered for 100k miles, and are LIKE NEW. Front and back seats are perfect, as well as the carpets. It has Monster Mat style rubber mats and the original plush floor mats as well. Rockford Fosgate stereo (standard equip on SE models) sounds great and has a 6 CD changer. Everything works. It's even got the original untouched first aid kit.Good stuff:- Recent work includes 4 newer tires (75% tread remaining), timing belt @ 100k mi, sway bar end link and bushings, new battery, new valve cover gasket, oil changed every 3k miles, serpentine belt tightened up.- Engine & trans are strong and still returns the same gas mileage as EPA mpg figures- AC is ice cold and heat is like a furnace- Rust-free body!! Only light surface rust on undercarriage. Not-as-good (but not all that bad) stuff:- Needs a right front control arm, so the right front squeaks over harsh bumps. Not sure if it's upper or lower.- There is an intermittent whistle sound at idle. I have not diagnosed because it does not affect driveability. Only noticeable with the windows down.- The gauge lamp is dim at night but dials are still visible- The dashboard cigarette lighter has been changed to a USB charger by previous owner but it doesn't seem to work. No big deal, there is a normal 12v cigarette lighter in the center console and back seats!You could hop in and drive this truck cross country without thinking twice. It has been driven on long trips, short trips, and everything in between and is really well loved. I want it to go to a good home that will take care of it!
