You hear about barn finds and you see them on TV - Well - Here's your chance to own one. This is a 1973 VW Thing - It's complete - The man that I bought it from is 86 years old - The last time it was titled was 1991. 2 years ago - he replaced the floor pans - all the brakes and wheel cylinders - rebuilt the engine and put in a new transmission. He put in different seats - new gas tank - and then it sat there. The clutch is good. His wife became ill - so he stopped working on it. I just bought it and now it's on here for sale. The first set of pictures are the THING at his house ( Barn Find)- The other photos are at my house after I got it home. The only thing that was cleaned on the car was the windshield - We drove it up on a trailer and towed it home - It still has all the dirt on and in it. The tires are okay - It comes with a spare VW tire - Clear title - The top needs to be replaced - but I have the metal frame for top - It does have some rust on it - but it's usable. There is rust in one rocker panel and in the front of the car - The front fenders have been worked on. Needs a front bumper and the rear one should be replaced. I moved the distributor - so the timing is off. I have all 4 door windows - They need new glass - The windshield is in great condition.
