0 0 1 661 3772 31 8 4425 14.0 Normal 0 false false false EN-US JA X-NONE 1972 Ford F100 XLT Ranger 2wd rebuilt 390 auto, factory red & white! Fully loaded XLT Ranger package featuring power steering, power brakes, air conditioning, freshly built high performance 390 big-block engine, and rebuilt C6 automatic transmission (under 10K miles on the rebuilds... broken in properly and in perfect running and driving condition). This is likely one of the nicest unmolested surviving examples of an early 70’s Ford half-ton two-wheel-drive out there You are bidding on a fantastic surviving example of a classic 1972 Ford F100 XLT Ranger Long Bed two-wheel drive pickup truck. While appearing stock, it’s actually somewhat of a hotrod with the original 390 fully rebuilt to high-performance standards and having approximately 360 streetable horsepower. The automatic transmission was rebuilt as well (Trans Medic lifetime HP build) including new torque converter and shift kit, and the rear end rebuilt as well. It features a .030 overbore, 9.5-1 forged pistons, balanced rotating assembly, Edelbrock Performer Plus cam and spring package, rebuilt heads including new valves and hardened seats for unleaded fuel, double-roller timing set, high-volume oil pump, rebuilt carburetor, high-output ignition, new fuel pump, and more. Over $6,000.00 spent on the engine and transmission rebuilds alone. For fun, its got Shelby Cobra Le Mans finned aluminum valve covers and an Edelbrock air cleaner to dress it up a bit under the hood; raise the hood and it looks like a hot rod. The engine/trans/rear were rebuilt fewer than ten thousand miles ago, and the truck runs flawlessly... very powerful. You put the pedal down and the telephone poles fly by. The truck is very easy to drive; predictable, powerful, comfortable, and reliable. It sounds amazing too, with a new $1,000.00 Flow Master 40-series dual exhaust system... it sounds as powerful as it drives. The truck itself is very straight, showing no outer body rust issues. The original two-tone red and white paint job has had one repaint of the red. The body panels are straight, paint shiny, aluminum trim all there and nice, grill nice, etc. Not “new truck” perfect, but it’s also not priced over $20K either! There is only one place on the passenger front fender where there is any evidence of paint bubbles to be found, and they are tiny (as shown in the picture). The truck overall is rock-solid, and has been a Northwest truck since new; no salt on our roads here. You can feel confident hopping in this truck and driving across the country without a worry. Brand-new high end $400.00 sprayed in bed liner, full detail, fresh tune-up, newer brakes, newer KYB gas shocks, cooling system rebuilt, new water pump, alternator, and battery. Tires are at least 75% and are nice fat radials to handle the power of the 390... the widest I could fit on the factory stock steel rims. The air conditioning system is fully intact and working, but will require a service and recharge to do its’ job properly. The original glass is all in excellent condition. Window regulators roll up and down smoothly. Again, it is the XLT Ranger model, which feature the fancy wood grain trim, fancy exterior stainless steel body moldings, and a more deluxe interior. The interior is essentially the same as the day it left the factory, with the exception of the seat being nicely reupholstered and a high-end stereo system. The factory red and wood grain interior was classy then, and still is now. The dash and gauge cluster itself are both very nice, and the gauges all work. I am comfortable saying that the interior is in very nice condition. Clear title in hand with no issues. Please plan to remit payment within 3 days of auction’s end. While every effort is being made to represent the vehicle accurately, it is in fact a 42-year old classic and being old as-is without warrant or guarantee expressed, written, or implied. I can accept a direct deposit to my Bank of America account, a wire transfer into my credit union, or a major bank cashier’s check, which I can verify before releasing the truck or title. Shipping is the full responsibility of the buyer; however I will make myself on available for shipping short notice. I have used shippers in the past I could recommend, but most buyers use eBay’s U-ship option where shippers bid for your best price. You can call me at 360-936-9257 if you have any questions. You won't find a nicer running/driving original '72 Ford for the money... she's such a pleasure to drive, way more powerful and solid than when new, and she still looks beautiful. A truck you'll be proud to own. I'd keep the truck if I could afford to, but unfortunately the bills continue to march on, month after month.
