Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is this 1972 Gmc truck C10/1500 someone will get a awesome truck with only 77,892 miles. Besides being painted about 18 years ago it is Original and one family owned. Its a step side - long bed, long beds were less desired 42 years ago resulting in less production making them now Rare only 3% of the trucks produced were step side long bed. I have uploaded the maximum amount of pictures to help describe the truck. The truck is not show room perfect and at the same time it is very nice. The paint shines and shows reflection and there are a few scratches here and there I have enlarged a couple of photos that show rust on the fenders, the over all rust is minimal and to be expected but for the age you can tell it was well taken care of and for 42 years old its excellent. The truck bed wood floor was replaced when it was painted as well. The engine is a six cylinder it looks good and runs awesome with no problems, has never offered to run hot I have driven down the interstate, highway, and city never misses, spit or sputters there are no oil leaks or fluid leaks of any kind you can get in and go anywhere now. This truck has power steering and the turning and handling is perfect and easy. There are no squeaks or rattles when driving, just the sound of the engine. The brakes work just as they should stopping the truck easy without veering to either side the parking brake works as well. The transmission is a manual 4 speed in the floor with 1st gear truly a granny gear it shifts perfect with no issues, the clutch works perfect with no problems. As far as I know all the lights work, I have driven at night with out problems even the high beam is good. The odometer, speed odometer, battery and temperature Gage works as they should. The oil pressure switch went and I have not replaced, just crimped it but worked before. Dash lights work as well as the dome light. The original am radio is still in the truck, does not work only because hooks ups for a Fm stereo was added in the glove box. The glove box still has its original card board box in great shape with the option sticker still attached ( there is a photo), along with the owners manual ( pictured to ). The interior looks awesome as well, repainted completely with the truck ( inside door panels are beginning to fade ) There are no tears or rips in the seat and the seat belts are there and work. The card board that covers the gas tank behind the seat is still in place. Both windows roll up and down with ease, the vents you pull in and out at the floor even work proper, the floor is covered with indoor-out door carpet. I hope I have covered the truck well, it is a Awesome truck that runs and drives near perfect ( the truck gets plenty of attention) and can be driven any where now or a perfect candidate for a true show truck. Based on quality and comparable tucks I have seen prices go into the teen's I have set a more than fair starting point (reserve) for this truck so bidders bid to win, Good luck.
