Up for sale is a LOTTA car!!!!. This Audi A8 Quatro sport still has plenty of life left in her though. It's always had synthetic oil and it's paid off the engine still runs smooth as silk. I'm serious, this car doesn't drip oil OR use any between oil changes. The only big problem with this car is that the transmission is just starting to slip a little in 2 and 3rd gear. When it's warm and you start out swiftly or up a hill it shudders a little. I'm not sure how long you can drive it like this. Sometimes when it's warm and you start out from a standstill it jolts so you want to start out slow or keep the rpms up a little. I still drive it a few times a week and it really hasn't gotten any worse over the last 6 months or so. The engine check light is on for a " evap code". The HID light has been lit for the last 6 years but the lights work fine. The keyless entry quit a couple of months ago so I use the key to open and lock the car. The central locking system and alarm still work ok. It could use some better tires too. The AC has a small leak about 2 or 3 cans of freon need to be added throughout the summer. I use 143a. Cruise works, windows work, wipers work, sunroof works. Radio and computer work. All 4 seats work and are heated. The passenger front seat heater is not working. I've replaced the steering rack, ALL of the front suspension arms and tie rods were replaced last year. New fuel pump. The transmission filter was replaced back at about 70K miles ( there was a problem with them starving oil). I've had the wheel calipers overhauled. Belts and Hoses were replaced in the last couple of years. Fan clutch replaced. ABS controller rebuilt. New windshield. The paint on the car still looks pretty good. The clear coat is starting to come off on the roof just behind the sunroof. Chrome mirror trim added along with Momo shift handle. Timing belt was replaced by the previous owner.
