Vehicle Detail
1964 Plymouth Sport Fury. Factory 383, 727 auto, bucket seat console floor shift. Interior redone in late 90's, still looks new, car was repainted at about same time and is driver quality. It is a factory black with red interior car. It is in very nice condition for an unrestored car. Runs and drives very well. Engine and transmission were rebuilt at some point but I don't know for sure when. Car was parked in around 2001 in clean and dry storage and sat until early August of this year. I installed a new fuel tank, fuel pump, master cylinder, all four wheel cylinders, battery and carb. The brake power booster didn't work so it is off being rebuilt at this time and is included with car. It will still need a new fuel tank sending unit installed, I wanted to get it running and didn't want to wait to order one. I have the original 4 barrel carb, intake, air cleaner, valve covers and steering wheel along with some misc. trim and a new rear windshield seal. Door seals, trunk seal, front windshield seal and roof to side glass seals have already been installed. Floors and trunk are very solid, not signs of rust. There are a couple of small blisters on each rear wheel wells and on the lower driver door, but they look to be only in the paint. All lights, including turn signals, back up lights, head and tail lights, and interior lights work as they should, also wipers, ( 2 speed ), heater, and stock am radio work . Glass is in good shape and windows role up and down as they should. It has nice dual exhaust, and the wheels and tires are like new. Side window fuzzies were also replaced. Bumpers were rechromed at time of repaint. Grill and trim is in nice shape as well as tail lights. Previous owner thought the engine and trans to be the original ones as well as the mileage on the odometer, but I cant verify. I have a clean Washington title in my name and drive the car about once a week. The owners manual and original sales slip are in the glove box and the spare and jack are still mounted in trunk. If you are looking for a nice mostly original Fury I believe this to be the one. I bought it to cruise and drive to car shows this summer and have enjoyed it, but I am wanting a street rod and don't have a place to store 2 cars. I might be interested in trading for a running pre war coupe or pick up or even the right 2 door sedan, no rat rods, I need full fenders and a non chopped roof. I don't need a race car just decent driver. I'm not concerned with perfect paint and interior, but it does have to have color on it and some interior, and an auto trans, wipers, and at least heat, but air conditioning would be nice. Let me know what you have to trade or if you are interested in buying feel free to send questions. I will be happy to send my phone number to answer questions if needed. Thanks. The price is $18,500.00 for buy it now but I am open to decent offers, but have no intentions to give it away. I don't think you will be disappointed with car.
