Mechanical Condition - Very Good. This is a daily driver car. In 2009 when we chose to let our son use the car for his Jr and Sr years, I took it to my mechanic in Knoxville and had him go over the car completely. Tranny was rebuilt, Head Gasket replaced, total suspension and front end overhaul, Starter, Alternator, etc. If it needed fixing, I took care of it. Robert Berry did the work. Here is his site: myeurosport dot com. (ebay doesn't like links included in the description) In 2013 I did a complete HVAC overhaul. Dash removed, all actuators replaced, new Pressure Switches and Expansion Valve installed. NOTES: 1) My local mechanic recently told me I should replace the inner and outer wheel bearings on both front wheels. He quoted me $275. We can deduct this from the sale price or have it done prior to delivery. 2) ebay requires you to enter mileage. The odometer is one of the only instruments that does not work. It shows 142,000 miles. Engine is strong and tranny since rebuild has approx maximum 30,000 miles on it. Exterior - Average. There is NO rust but there are blemishes. I'll send pics and description if interested. When washed up, it still shines and looks good. I replaced much of the trim including the rubber window guides. The windshield has a crack in it that has not increased. A glass replacement company said it is the original windshield and discouraged me from replacing it. You may feel differently. Interior - Above average. No tears in seats at all. Drivers side arm rest could be re-done. Rear seats look like new. Dash has cracks (what 83 doesn't?) but I have a custom 745i dash cover. Other details: Car has been lowered and has 16" wheels. Tires are Falken ZE-912 tires installed January 2013. Best guess, they have 2,000 miles on them. Engine is an M30, body style e23I have just a few small projects that I haven't tackled. I systematically repaired everything I encountered over a 8 year time frame and just don't have the energy and interest any longer. Feel free to call with questions.
