Vehicle Detail
1983 Honda CR480R – race ready! This CR480R was built for one purpose, to race AHRMA nationals. Below is the parts list installed: This 1983 Honda CR480 is a frame up restoration with only jetting time on the bike. There is over 8K in parts alone so the buy it now is best I can do having not spent any track time on this bike. This is an AHRMA national level purpose built race bike. This bike cannot be built for the price I am selling it for (even if you only considered the cost of the parts). I have heard the horror stories of 82 motors in 83 frames and I have seen buys riding these bikes at the track with stock suspension (if you are not going to get the suspension done then you are purposely beating your body up for no reason). The suspension on this bike has to be addressed and when you do, it will put a smile on your face. I also have an 83 Honda CR250R for sale on ebay as well. There is a YOUTUBE video at the below link: http://youtu.be/0jL_O5cgCHI Engine Cylinder overboard (over 500cc) Decompressor for starts (start as easy as a 125 – see photo) 38mm Mikuni TMX flatside carb (AHRMA legal) 8 petal Mossbarger Reed cage DG pipe Custom one-off carbon fiber silencer (owner) Uni Air filter RK gold chain Correct serial number on the motor Complete motor rebuild/engine painting Stainless bolts Chassis/suspension 43mm forks rebuilt by Race Tech (hard anodized tubes, gold values, heavy springs for 180lbs rider) Race Tech G3 Series shock with remote reservoir (180lbs rider) Pro tamper fat bars VMX wide footpegs Gold Sun rims (19” rear) Arched brakes (front and rear by Race Tech) – Better stopping power Buchanan heavy duty spokes VMX plastic Powdercoated frame with original serial number on the frame I will do a video in a day or so showing you how easy it is to start as I know this is one thing that runs people away from big bores, but this one is truly seamless to start. Any questions please call Mike at (703) 961-1453 and thanks for looking, MikeHere is a Youtube video of me starting the bike cold using the decompression release (as easy as starting a 125):http://youtu.be/RpgA6I2MiYU Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE
