Vehicle Detail
This truck was in storage. With gas and battery, it started right up. I took it out on the freeway to 80 mph with no effort. The engine is strong and runs evenly. With the automatic transmission, power steering and brakes, it makes driving easy. It stops on a dime. With the factory AC it would be a comfortable ride. Steering and alignment are tight and straight. No vibrations. Accessories such as hazard warning, instrument gauges, high beam, horn, wipers, heater fan etc. all work as they should. The spare tire holder, bottle jack and lug wrench are all there. Oil stays clean and pressure is good. It does not run hot, leak oil or make strange noise. The Camper Special comes with a locked tools compartment, and switchable fuel tanks. This one has 5 good tires. You won't see the optional Pull Bar in front with the V-5 rated chrome rear bumper often. Hitch is rated at 1,000 pounds tongue weight for a 10,000 pounds trailer. Latches and locks work with original set of keys. The racing dual 2 1/2" exhaust sounds like a jet boat about to plane off! Body is straight. Solid chassis and cab floor. With the camper top, the paint on the bed is original and not scratched up as it would be otherwise. Camper top extra left replacement window is included, (see picture.) Paint on the hood is faded. Set of fancy laser cut alloy wheels! The interior is attractive red velour piping. The dash has no cracks. The headliner is excellent original, as are both door panels. The air conditioning was disconnected at some point. All the equipment are intact. I believe it would require service to be functional. It even has an old school Jensen 8-track tape deck, (which may or may not work.) I rolled down the passenger side window, and the glass fell out of its track. It will have to be re installed. With minimum TLC this would be a nice daily driver. Check out uShip to name your price to bid shipping transport. Subject to local sale.
