1957 Willys Jeep 4X4 Station Wagon “Super Hurricane” Six Cylinder Model# 54168 ; Serial# 32685 ; VIN# 5416832685 One of my project vehicles that I’m just not going to get to. I hate to see it sit any longer. Last driven on the road in 2005. Ran okay, but had very low compression. Four-wheel-drive worked perfectly. Parked it when the starter failed, and I have never gotten back to it. Motor is stuck now. Rust in the floors, in the piano hinge for the lower tailgate, and some small holes in the roof along the gutters (where wet leaves & debris collected). Chassis and suspension all solid and this is a great candidate for restoration. Military style tires & tubes were new in ’05. Have held air all this time. Less than 100 miles on them and not weather-checked – They are beautiful and will work fine on road or off. Tough to find these Willys so stock and original like this anymore. Buyer will also get the original front seats, interior trim panels, and spare tire mount (see final photo), plus whatever else I can find around here. Note: Vehicle is titled as a 1954, but serial# matches production numbers for 1957 – That’s what I think it is, but you can take your pick! Shouldn’t take much to get it on the road again and will be a very straight-forward restoration. Make no mistake, however: This is a project car, for a knowledgeable hobbyist.
