For your consideration...This 2005 R1200 GS is in excellent condition, ready to ride across town...or across the country. I am the second owner, purchased from the original owner in March 2008 when the bike had about 7300 miles.It now has about 28,600 miles...certainly not much by BMW standards! These bikes are 100k ++ mile bikes. It is nicely equipped:> Wire spoke wheels with ABS> Heated grips and handguards> Full set of BMW Vario expandable side bags and top case> Cee Bailey headlight guard> Multiple SAE plugs for accessories> Tank Bag> Not alot of extra farkles...however I have added a few splash guards. The rear wheel spray guard has been removed...basically because I like the cleaner look without it...but it's included with the bike and I'll be happy to re-install it if the new owner desires. I have all service records since the bike was new, and it has been properly maintained.Oil changes at 3000 mile intervals.The major service scheduled for 25,000 miles has been completed.The rear Michelin Anakee is brand new, the front Anakee is in good shape...I'd rate it about 70%. Please review the photos carefully...they are part of the bike's description. With 28,600 miles...there are surprizingly very few scratches and scuffs...but there are 3 I want to point out:> The l/h valve cover has a small scuff from a drive-way tip over by the original owner. You have to almost lay on the ground to see it.> The r/h Vario side case has a dent in it...due to a slipped tie-down when it was in a trailer! Arrrggghhh! This is easily fixed: ride to Alaska, get an "Alaska Highway" sticker...but the sticker on the dent...fixed! The function...and water-tightness...of the side case is not impacted.> The r/h side of the front rim has a slight gouge...due to the bike slipping in it's wheel chock on the Auto-train heading down to Florida. As most of you know, these rims have a VERY thick external flange to accomodate the wire spoke nipples. This gouge is absolutely cosmetic only... I have included photos of each of these blemishes. That's about it...I hope the photos help to portray the clean, well-maintained condition of this bike. For payment, I will need a $300 deposit within 48 hours of the sale via Paypal. The balance can be paid in a number of ways. Cash is good...or a check, certified check...money order...whatever. HOWEVER, LET ME BE CLEAR THAT ANY FORM OF PAYMENT MUST CLEAR AS A DEPOSIT IN MY BANK BEFORE THE BIKE WILL BE RELEASED OR THE TITLE SIGNED OVER. I have a clear PA Title in my name. Please note that PA Titles must have the new purchaser's name filled in when my signature is Notarized. I will also provide a Notarized Bill of Sale. Shipping arrangements and expense is the responsibility of the purchaser. I will not crate the bike, but will do the best I can to coordinate with the purchaser's selected carrier. I have used Federal (funtransport. com) with good results. They offer an AMA discount, and I will transport the bike to their nearby warehouse at no charge.
