Vehicle Detail

Here is an 84 Vanagon GL, with 100k original miles. It ran when parked a couple years ago according to the previous owner, currently it needs a starter so it will not run and must be towed. (Starter spins but doesn't engage.) Looks like the heads were replaced at some point, it has the old heads still with it in a box. Has the factory Air Conditioning and Cruise control options. Paint is faded and has some spots of surface rust and dings/scrapes, however the underside overall is very solid. The only rust that i could see is a little in the driver and passenger steps and some under gas pedal area. Frame is in great shape. Glass is all good, rear bumber is dinged up. Seats and carpet show wear (see pics), headliner is nice. The radio is missing and it looks like they mounted some extra stereo component in the dash at some point, see dash pic. This would make a good little project for someone, comes with a clear MA title. No reserve auction, contact me with any questions. I may be able to help with transport in the Southern New England area for an additional fee, just contact me for details. Thanks. On Sep-13-14 at 19:31:22 PDT, seller added the following information: Just wanted to add some details regarding the motor. I have not had the engine while I've owned the van. I was told by the previous owner that it sat for a couple of years and was running at some point before that. When I discovered it needed a starter I did did no go any further with it, however the engine does turn freely by hand. Also, I discovered the small rod that connects the gas pedal to the throttle cable is missing. I do have a box with some extra parts and the old heads, I will take a close look and see if it is in there. The throttle cable itself seems very tight, not sure if it can be lubricated. Just want to be as detailed as possible, let me know if you have any questions.
