Vehicle Detail

Solid survivor, mostly all original except for one fisheyed repaint; it was originally silver blue, as can be seen on the underside of the hood under peeling pale blue. This car was previously titled in the state of Washington and must have been there most of it's life as it has very little rust. It has had a small repair below battery box on inner fender and there is some bondo on pass. door and the small spots on lower door skins, other than that it looks unmolested. Undercarriage is clean as well with just a bit of corrosion in torque boxes, which appears to be from moisture, however they are still structurally sound, just the rearmost sheet metal vertical face has couple of small holes, that's it. The trunk, frame rails, floor pans and rear wheel wells and quarters are all solid. Anyone that knows anything about these knows they are prone to rust, but I'm quite sure this car has never seen the salt of the rust belt states. The interior is all original, dash is cracked as shown but seats are OK, there is 1/2 in. rip on drivers side backrest bolster, and the steering wheel must have been changed at some point in time. All the instruments and lights including the console work. Car runs and drives decent w/power steering, the transmission shifts as it should and it tracks strait down the highway, however the manual drum brakes are weak and need TLC/upgrade; good newer radial tires and manual conv. top. Obviously, this is a nearly 50 year old car with a history all it's own, the ODO reads 27,300 and I have to assume it rolled over, but maybe not, according to one self proclaimed expert who prodded and poked every square inch and checked every switch and lever, he seemed to think that was it, I don't know. I've had it a garage for year in the and driven it 3 times this summer which is why I'm letting it go. I think it may have been one of the Springtime Sprint promotion models based on April '66 production and chrome air cleaner. Overall, a solid little Mustang, albeit with some patina, but something decent to build on while you drive it.
