Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a USED 1985 BMW K100 motorcycle. This was the first year for the 1985 in the United States. It has a clear VA title. I have owned the bike since 2009 and purchased the bike with a full Pichler body fairing kit. I stripped that uncomfortable seat and rear body kit, with the exception of the front main fairing and windshield. It now has a Corbin aftermarket seat. Engine ran like a champ 3 years ago, drive train was excellent, and it was a daily driver for me in VA from 2009-2011. The rear body parts were purchased on ebay to complete the bike to as close to stock as possible. I painted the bike gray in 2009. The Pichler windscreen is cracked and needs replacing, tank has several scratches (see pics), and some of the body panel attachment pins are broken, although they still attach to the bike. Corbin seat is attached with hinge parts of my own making. Rear fairing under-seat storage door is missing.(see pics)Two removable, locking, rigid saddlebags with key. Complete with the original BMW tool kit. Odometer IS NOT CORRECT, and speedometer does not work. Common malady with early K100s. All other electrics run/stop, horn, signals, tachometer, gear indicator, hi/low beam indicator, fuel gauge, all work fine. The bike ran and drove great before my third and then fourth son was born. I ran out of time and money to fix up/maintain the K100 at that point. Bike has been stored under a cover and beneath an open garage since moving to CA in 2011. Battery was removed, but some corrosion residue remains (see pics). This would make a great project bike or a solid base for a cafe racer or custom bike, as the drive train is solid and reliable.
