This VW has a history and story! Originally used by a Fire Chief in Germany until 2004 then it was shipped to the US It has original sirens on the front of the car as well as Flags that were used by the Fire Chief, (please see photos) The sirens are not hooked up and the original Fire Chief radio equipment has been removed prior to shipping it to the US. I am the 3rd owner since it came to the US. The Odometer is in KM and reads 34589 (approx 21,492 miles) The Odometer stopped working approximately 500 miles ago. The Speedometer works fine, but the Odometer doesn't. The vehicle is original including top and side curtins. I have had the window in the top replaced, one of the side curtins needs the window replaced. I have never driven it with the top up or side curtains on, so I didnt replace the window in the side curtin. When i got the car it had its original tires! The car runs and drives perfectly! it is a great original un-restored original With that being said, it is not in perfect or show condition. There are dents in the hood, and one place on the front right fender that the paint is bubbling. I do have all four doors even though they are not pictured. This car is German made not the Mexican import, It does have a current, clear, Indiana Title. I very much enjoy the VW but need to sell some toys.
