The limited-edition H-D SuperCrew represents yet another way to get into it, without pesky altercations with law enforcement or visits to a tattoo parlor. For '02, the Harley-Davidson F-150 SuperCrew has been massaged to deliver more performance than last year's and includes an appropriately sizeable dose of anti-social appearance: A tasteful flame pinstripe down the side contrasts with the numerous Harley-Davidson badges found on and in this handsome four-door 2WD short-bed truck. Last year's black-only paint scheme has been augmented with a rich, upscale charcoal-gray finish. Performance is handily addressed with the installation of a slightly de-tuned Lightning powertrain. The 5.4L SOHC V-8 uses the same supercharger as the SVT model, but a larger pulley slows the blowers rotation speed, reducing the boost. The net result is 40 fewer horses than the Lightning-but still 80 more than a stock F-150 with the 5.4L engine. Lowered one inch, the H-D F-150 sits on flashy 20x9.0 five-spoke alloy wheels and Goodyear 275/45R20 Eagle GTII tires. It's a four-passenger-only truck, due to rear area bucket seats and large, flame-embossed center consoles front and rear. It has water in oil. Buying AS-is.
