Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 57 belair. I've had this car about 12 years and bought it because it used to be my grandpas. He was the second owner, and he sold it to a local guy that drove it an indeterminate period of time before retiring it. I hounded him about it for years until he finally sold it to me but I've finally come to the realization I'm not doing the car any justice to let it continue to set, so I'm hoping to find it a good home where it'll get the attention and tlc that a car of this caliber deserves. I'll describe condition best I can but check the pics, there are lots. The floor pans appear very solid. No apparent holes anywhere. Trunk floor has one spot rusted through, it's pictured. Spare tire we'll is solid. No rust in the deck lid. Bottom of doors look very solid too, just some surface rust. Small spots at the bottom corner of either fender. A couple floor stringers are rusty but inner and outer rockers appear very solid. as you're looking at the pics, the spot above the center of the left rear wheelwell isn't rust blisters as the pic makes it look, it's actually the remnants of some sort of insect nest. Other than the rh fender and quarter this car is all original paint. The quarter was repaired long ago, evidenced by the use of lead filler. The fender appears to be more of a 70s vintage repair, with plastic filler. No other bodywork or paint work has ever been done on this car. No amateur restorations or cobble jobs. Other than the two fender bender repairs this thing is untouched since it rolled off the line. Original trunk mat still there, also pictured in the trunk are some interior trim pieces, light lenses, the missing headlight bucket, trim ring and garnish, antenna base, one of the three original hubcaps still with the car, and some misc. if you see something missing in the pics, it is most likely in the trunk, this car is very complete. You're even looking at (what's left of) the original upholstery! All the windows roll up and down and wing vents crank out like they should. We had the engine running several years ago on a small bottle of fuel. Probably needs gone through but is usable and I believe it original to the car. I know my grandpa never replaced any driveline components and the guy I got it from said he never had any issues and he drove it years earlier to the spot it was sitting when I got it. Same story on the rest of the power train. Pictured are a couple old oil change stickers that support the mileage reading on the odometer. I've got a endorsed title for the car, issued in 1971. I've covered the name on the pic of it for privacy reasons. Also shown is a old photo of the car from when it belonged to grandpa. Feel free to message me with any questions. Absolutely no paypal. cash or certified funds only, and the car will not leave my possession until I am completely satisfied that funds have cleared. I can store the car if need be but it must be paid for within one week of auction end. It should go without saying but here it is anyways: you are not bidding on the opportunity to look at the car or come check it out and make your final decision, if you are high bidder you are the new owner. Check with the wife and bank BEFORE bidding. car sold as is, where is. i have described it to the best of my ability/knowledge, no warranty or guarantees expressed or implied. any potential bidders are more than welcome to come check out the car in person at any time. Thanks for looking. On Sep-04-14 at 19:37:39 PDT, seller added the following information: The pic of the trunk floor looks worse than it really is, the only rust through is at the left front corner, there is a close up shot of it. The rest is just surface rust.
