I have been collecting cars for over 35 years and I’ve never seen one of these. This 1955 Pontiac Chieftan 2 Door Wagon is the ultra-rare sister car to the Chevrolet Nomad. Looking at the pictures you would think that this car left the factory a year ago, but with the exception of one very high quality paint job in the original colors, it is almost entirely original. It is a two-owner car and the indicated mileage of just over 46,000 is believed to be original. Even the spare tire, which has never been used, is original. The car is equipped with a 287 CID engine, an automatic transmission, a fold-down rear seat, and very large side “enter-body” roll-down windows. The car looks, runs, and drives like new.
