Vehicle Detail

Haven't owned this beauty for very long, bought it to park in my office and basically just add to my collection. Fact is, had a major turn of events recently and all the toys must go right away. Took me years to find a bike this nice that I had to have so it saddens me to let her go but what can you do..Before you continue or bid, note that the bike DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE nor REGISTRATION / Plates. It's a grey market bike and if you do not know what it takes to register one..don't buy this one. It's a museum quality bike that you could either park and watch appreciate OR put on the track. It is possible to register grey market bikes but highly unlikely in CA and not easy by any means.Anyway, here's the original ad (portion of it anyway). The first 4 pictures were just taken today, I have not ridden, started or moved the bike since delivery so it's still in the same condition as stated below…she's truly a beautiful piece of art and sure to appreciate in time. I have quite a bit into this bike but taking a loss for a quick (and easy) sale. ORIGINAL LISTING:Attention collectors – rare chance to get a 20 year old, factory original two-stroke motorcycle, almost exactly like it came to the Japanese dealer. Only 1,500 manufactured. This is a 250cc, two-cylinder, two-stroke, 40+ hp motorcycle that is very light and delivers amazing performance and handling. Bike comes with a limited edition Rothman’s embroidered jacket; size 52 Euro. It also comes with a 1994 NSR250SP Parts Manual (Original), Part # 11KV3RJ5 (in Japanese), code #; D 200.2005.01, 142 pages. You can also see more information about NSRs and an English language service manual at nsr-world.com.*** THIS MOTORCYCLE DOES NOT HAVE A TITLE *** bill of sale onlyThe MC28 SP bikes represent the fifth generation of Honda 250 two-strokes. They were significantly upgraded from the fourth generation MC21s throughout the bike. The memory card “key” is very slick, the bodywork also had been upgraded for sleeker aero dynamics, and better looks to match the all new single sided swingarm (PROARM). While there were previous versions of the Rothman’s edition, the MC28 SP was the last, and only 1,500 were made. Finding a 1994 Rothmans MC28 SP is quite rare and expensive due to the limited numbers. This is the real thing, not aftermarket bodywork on a plain 250. Check the VIN as well as the official part label on the tail section in the photos.Speedometer is in Kilometers. It has 12,918 Km or 8,026 miles on the clock. This motorcycle is mostly stock except for some aftermarket upgrades; (a) custom exhaust system with color matching silencers, (b) steel braided break lines front and back, (c) custom foot pegs, and (d) steering stabilizer. It still has some of the original warning and labeling stickers put on at the factory. This motorcycle is in very, very nice condition. It does have a few small nicks here and there but it looks exceptional for it’s age (please see all pictures and look closely). No rust anywhere. The only flaw is a small crack (repaired) in the right front fairing (see pictures). I do have the OEM tool kit but not the owner’s manual.FULL DISCLOSURE. I do not know of any mechanical issues with this motorcycle. This motorcycle has been in a museum for the past 3 years. It was prepped for storage by a certified Honda mechanic (change fluids, fog gas tank, etc.). I have recently put a new battery in the bike but *NOT* filled it with gas. Buyer has 2 options – have me gas it up and run it, or if you are displaying it – leave the bike as is. I certify that the bike runs. Note, there is no warranty given or implied.$1,000 deposit within 48 hours of auction end. Full payment within 5 CALENDAR days of auction close by bank wire transfer, or PayPal (and you pay all PayPal fees). The motorcycle is located in Santa Monica, CA however I could help you if you're not too far away. I sometimes visit San Diego, Vegas and much of Orange County, CA so check with me first and we'll see what we can work out as I have a truck available. Buyer is responsible for pick-up or arranging shipping.
