1950 Studebaker Champion Model 9G-F3 “DeLuxe 2-Door Sedan” VIN# G512079 Flat head Six and Three-on-the-Tree One of my project cars that I’m just not going to get to. I can't bear to see it sit outside for the coming winter. Last driven on the road in 2012. I installed a rebuilt carb that summer, which was leaking like crazy around the mounting block. At that time, I parked it, got busy with different things, and haven’t touched it since. The tires, exhaust, fuel tank, brakes (shoes, cylinders and lines) were all replaced in 2011. Body is fair and has some bondo. Floors and spare tire well have some rust holes, but not out of control. The worst rust is the chassis cross-member under the front floor, the ends of which are rusted-out (see picture). Interior is shot, though the dashboard is very decent. I have no idea if the mileage on the odometer is accurate or “clocked” or anything else – eBay demands that we fill in the “actual” mileage figure, but I cannot make any claim of its accuracy. Car has not run since 2012, but turns over on the starter. It rolls easily and the tires have held air (they only have about 50 miles on them!). Shouldn’t take much to get it on the road again, but make no mistake: This is a project car, for a knowledgeable hobbyist. I hope somebody with more time and energy than I have will get it done.
