THIS IS THE LAST YEAR OF THE ICONIC "BANDIT" TRANS AM. THIS CAR HAS THE 5.0 LITER OPTION THAT WAS THE ONLY ENGINE CHOICE WITH A 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANS IN 1981. THE CAR IS NOT A SHOW CAR. ALTHOUGH IT IS AN ORIGINAL BLACK TRANS AM, THE CAR HAS BEEN REPAINTED. THE PAINT LOOKS GOOD BUT NOT SHOWROOM QUALITY BY ANY MEANS. THE CAR IS VERY ORIGINAL WITH NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE AND TRANS. IT IS COMPLETELY STOCK EXCEPT FOR THE ADDITION OF AN EDELBROCK INTAKE AND CARB. THE EXHAUST LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN UPDATED IN THE REAR WITH THE 6.6 TIPS. SHE DRIVES VERY WELL. STOPS VERY WELL. THE MOTOR IS VERY SOLID AND TORQUEY. THE TRANS SHIFTS VERY SMOOTHLY AND THE CAR IS EQUIPED WITH THE OPTIONAL 3.42 AXLE AND LIMITED SLIP DIFF. CLUTCH IS VERY GOOD AND ENGAGES SMOOTHLY WITHOUT ANY CHATTER AND LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN REPLACED. ALL GUAGES WORK AS WELL AS THE CLOCK. THE AC IS ALL INTACT AND THE COMPRESSOR LOOKS TO BE IN GOOD ORDER. IT DOES NOT BLOW COLD. I WOULD ASSUME IT HAS A FREON LEAK. THE CAR DOES NOT OVER HEAT, IS VERY RELIABLE AND STARTS IMMEDIATELY. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE WILL NEED REPLACING. THE REST IS AS IT LOOKS.
