Up for auction is a STUNNING 1934 for two door roadster. This is a very well built high end hot rod with no compromise on quality. You will be hard pressed to find a street rod with this detail and quality anywhere! For starts, yes this car is titled as a 34 ford so historic plates and collector insurance can be used. I truly don't know where to start with describing this one. The car was built with top quality components and the best of everything, even all the hardware is stainless steel! This was close to a $70,000 build and the car was built with the purpose of being sold at Barrett Jackson (hence all the detail and amazing under body). Unfortunately due to illness in the family of the builder/owner, the car never made the trip to the auction block. It was however a magazine feature car and drew national attention after publication. The car was built in 2012, and other than the magazine photo shoot it really hasn't been driven. There are really one 150 actual miles on this vehicle. Yes, that is ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILES!!! The car has never been registered or titled until just this year! It was just a gem tucked away in the builders garage, for his eyes and pleasure only. Now for the first time, I bring this elegant show piece for sale to the general public via a no reserve auction. With a brief history of the car out of the way, lets get into some of the details. The body is a customized fiberfab body, and is amongst the strongest and most solid bodies money can buy. Prior to being built a 220lb plus man stood on the fender of this car and it didn't budge! No wood reinforcement like cheaper bodies have. All supports and reinforcements are steel. The chassis was custom fabricated and engineered to handle up to 700hp (at this point in the build it wasn't yet determined how radical the engine would be). The cars power plant is a blueprinted 350ci chevy that is bulletproof. The motor ended up being quite mild with 350hp, however was built to have a 150hp shot of nitrous oxide. After testing the car with the motor in, prior to being completed, the decision was made to leave the nitrous off as it could always be added later down the road. The 350hp this car has can move this 2600lb beauty plenty fast enough for me and its a real pleasure to drive and cruise. The motor has 8.5 to 1 compression, flat top pistons, crane cam, and a single edelbrock 4bbl carb. The trans is a tci turbo 400 backed by a ford 8 1/2 rear end and 355 gears. This car handles, runs, and shifts beautifully. The body is painted with a custom blended 1993 corvette ruby red with 10% additional black and 10% pearl added to the standard mix. The hood and detail around the cabin is painted in gloss black. This car looks GREAT. It really has a high end, classy, elegance to it and I personally wouldn't change the color combo for the world. It plain and simple works fantastically on this car and shows extremely well. The seats are power and heated leather (they aren't currently wired but do function) and they look great with no rips and very very little signs of wear. Ididit chrome tilt steering, and beautiful white face gauges. The roll bar is real, it connects to the frame and is made from high strength chromalloy steel. The wheelie bars are just for show, but they look great on the car and the extra chrome is pleasing to look at. The running boards have custom machined step plates on them. To be a bit different from the crowd, the engine compartment was done with silver metal flake rather than being painted as the body. This really looks good in person, and everyone I have shown the car to complemented this detail. The underbody of this car is really a show piece on its own. Everything is painted to match the body or done in chrome. With exception of this 34, I have never owned a car that looked anything close to this underneath. The detail is superb, and if you plan to show this vehicle I highly suggest you invest in some mirrors and maybe some ramps to show off the under side. Another really neat touch is the exhaust. The car has cut outs that dump under the running boards as well as full tail pipes that meet mufflers at the rear axle. When the dumps are closed, the car sounds like a tamed beast, not loud, but just a slight rumble...then when you push the buttons in the cab opening the side pipes.....its a new animal. It goes from tame to wild with a loud roar and deep rumble that is a melody to my ears. Not only does it function great, it looks great!!! You cant quite see the exhaust and mufflers while standing, but the pipes that dump out the sides....they are in clear view and definitely look cool. The paint is as smooth as glass, all gauges and lights work, push button start, the car is really brand new. I could go on and on forever, and I am missing something so please feel free to ask questions. Also please allow the page to fully load and view the 120 + photos. It really looks better in person when you can see it with your own eyes and get a real sense of its color.
