Very rare 1971 NSU 1200C Automatik. 38,954 original miles. Very good over-all condition for a 40+ year old car. Virtually rust-free body shell appears to have been re-painted in the original color. Light surface rust on the under side. The 1200cc air-cooled rear engine starts the first time and runs great, The semi-automatic clutch works perfectly (the vacuum servo system has been renewed). The 3-speed shifts smooth as silk every time. All systems seem to work fine. A new set of radial tires have just been mounted and balanced. The brakes have been rebuilt and the car stops on a dime. The burgundy interior generally looks great, but is only in fair condition as it suffers from some sun damage. The dash top has some cracks, the passenger seat bottom has cracked and split and the top of the back seat is somewhat eroded. An after-market shop manual and a pair of Euro-spec headlamps are included with the car. All-in-all, a great piece of German history that you can drive every day! This car always draws a lot of attention wherever it goes.
