Vehicle Detail

Thanks for looking! RUST FREE! RUST FREE! RUST FREE! RUST FREE! RUST FREE! *This is a 1979 Chevy El Camino which I received from the original owner. It has spent its' entire life in the Southwestern Arizona desert and is COMPLETELY RUST FREE! And when I say completely, I mean the body, floors, frame, bed, wheel wells, rockers, jambs and door frames. The body is exceptionally straight with nice door to fender gaps and nice panel alignment. You would be hard pressed to find another G body El Camino with a body as nice as this one is. Factory 4 speed! Factory 4 speed! Factory 4 speed! Factory 4 speed! Factory 4 speed! *I always liked the lines of these late model El Caminos and picked this one up when I came across it because it is a factory V8 350 with a FACTORY 4 SPEED manual transmission. This is a Factory 4 speed car and not a conversion. The original owner specifically ordered this car from Chevrolet with the 350 V8 and manual 4 speed. (This is not a conversion nor is it a 6 cylinder car upgraded). The car has Factory GM pedals. When is the last time you saw a late model 4 speed El Camino? There are tons of automatics, but I have never seen another one with a a 4 speed. This is a rare car indeed. *The car had been sitting in the intense Arizona heat for may years before coming into my possession, obviously, the extreme summer temperatures had taken its' toll on the paint. I own a restoration shop which specializes in metal finishing of automobiles (we do not use fillers) so we stripped off all of the old paint and primers including jambs and inner fenders. Any areas of the body needing attention were metal worked, coated in Etching primer followed by Urethane primer. The body has not even been blocked and is straight. In fact the car could be painted its original color of midnight black with out worry. The Camino is a bucket seat, console car. The factory buckets are in the car with seat covers. The seat upholstery needs to be redone. The center console was thrown away as it had too much sun damage and was completely distortorted, however, the factory brackets have been retained if you wish to replace the console. *I planned on building this car into a show vehicle for my shop. However, I came across a 59 El Camino with a 4 speed.... and my heart was more into the 59, so I have decided to offer this nice Camino up to someone else. I am selling this car WITHOUT AN ENGINE as I will be putting it in the 59. For those of you living in the rust belt areas of the country, you could not start off with better GM sheet metal than what this car has. Even with the cost of shipping this car to your residence, the savings will be huge in your favor over buying and repairing a rusted out car. *I did not paint the car because my preference is for very unusual and bright colors and not everyone shares my tastes. However, if you wish to purchase the car painted we could discuss that option with you. * I have included lots of bare metal pictures to indicate just how clean and rust free the metal was when I started.. I want the buyer to know that what they are getting and that I am representing this car honestly, as I know that there are many sellers who make lots of false claims and promises. I am not one of those folks. *Included in the purchase is the factory wiring harness, power steering pump, side view mirrors, exterior door handles and cylinder locks, all the trim for the doors, windshield and back glass trim, bed trim, rain gutter trim, battery tray, license plate box, windshield washer tank, Clutch fan, rear bumperrets, coolant tank, stainless cowl trim, starter, 4 speed Z bar, bumper filler panels, wiper motor, wiper arms, wiper blades, charcoal canister, 4 speed tunnel trim cover(rather ugly in my opinion) *This car was ordered without air conditioning. However, if you would like a/c I do have an El Camino (g body) a/c / heater box assembly that I would gladly offer if you wish to have it. * I will require a $500 non refundable deposit immediately upon the auctions end. Full payment within 7 days. I accept pay pal so long as you cover the additional fees. Shipping costs and arrangements are up to the buyer. I will gladly assist in any manner that I ca. So long as the car is paid in full upon the auctions end, I will gladly keep the car stored for free until you are able to make your shipping arrangements. If you have any questions or needs please feel free to contact me directly at 928-727-0287, Kevin. *Thank you!
