Up for bids is my 1950 Buick 2-door mild Kustom. If you are looking for a unique, kick ass car that gets crazy attention this is it! This 1950 Buick Super is pretty much a stock car. It still has the 6 volt system! It has the larger 263 cubic inch straight 8 with the dynaflow trans. It runs and drives good, just like you would expect from a 64 year old car. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this car anywhere! The car has the original 6 volt system which works well. I have installed a 6 volt electric fuel pump to help with starting after it has sat for a while. Here are some specifics on the car..... Body The body is very solid for the cars age. There are some metal patches on the trunk pan. There is some bondo on the car, but laid over metal. The floors were replaced years back, Very solid. The Packard tail lights are all metal but have some filler in them for shape, and still a little wavy. There is also some bondo, behind the passenger side door on the rear fender, a magnet sticks, I believe it was just dented at some point. Don't get me wrong this is a very solid car, Im just being as detailed as possible on my description. Frame The frame is in perfect shape, no patches of any kind and super solid! Engine and drivetrain The engine runs and starts good! It has good power and has been really reliable. The engine has a slight oil leak and also a slight freeze plug weep. The trans shifts good, and has been great as well, still it leaks slightly. Normal stuff for an old car like this. The leaks are very minor and I add fluid once a summer just to top it off. The car drives straight and the chassis and linkage is in good shape. The brakes are good, all drums and the car is heavy so it doesn't stop on a dime but works well. The car has also been lowered in the rear with el camino springs. Tires The tires re Brand New Coker wide white radials Interior: Nice interior that was done years ago. No rips in the seats. Needs headliner and rear deck tray(I planned on cutting the roof off and carson topping it) The carpet is some sort of felt like material. windows are all good no cracks, some yellowing not bad. door panels are good, all window cranks work. Gauges are all there, gas gauge doesn't work. clock not working either. All in all the interior is pretty nice, not perfect but a 7 out of 10. Overall this is a very nice 2 door buick that runs drives and stops like an old car does. It gets crazy attention everywhere you go. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. It needs some things done, but not a lot. You can drive and work on it as you go, or leave it as is and just cruise the hell out of it! This car is NOT a show car by any means, more of a nice 20 footer, rockabilly cruiser. The chrome is better than average, the paint is rough and it leaks some oil, but you NEVER see these around. I like to be unique with my rides and this is it! I have only seen two of these 1950 buick 2 doors around here, both of which were in my driveway.
