Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is a beautiful 1966 Mustang with removable fastback roof. You will be the "talk of the town" and the center of attention everywhere you go. The body is straight with no waves in the panels. The rear quarter panels were replaced in the past and they did a great job, the front aprons are original and have never been damaged. The rest of the body was in great shape before the new paint. The paint is fresh base coat Classic Sonic Blue/ClassicWhite stripes, the clear coat has been cut and buffed to a beautiful shine. The interior carpet, seats, seatbelts, Hurst Shifter, dash pad, door panels and gauge bezels are new or in great shape. The engine is a super strong 289 CID V-8 with many upgrades including a 4 Barrel Holley Carburetor and throaty sounding dual exhaust. This car starts with the flick of a key and really moves! Most of the chrome and stainless is new or in very good shape. 17" Polished aluminum Riddler wheels with new Sumitomo low profile tires, (front - 215/45 R17 & rear - 225/45 R17). Feel free to come and visit and take it for a spin, it won't disappoint. Here are some common questions I get about the removable top: · How is the roof attached? Is the roof water-tight? The roof weighs approx. 75 pounds and can be removed in less than 2 minutes. The top is secured by two bolts in the front and two wing nuts in the rear. There is a metal header attached to the roof. On this metal header, there are two tinnerman nuts (mustang fender nut clips) - the two bolts go thru the mustang convertible sun visor bracket dowel pin guide hole and thread into the tinnerman nuts, The fiberglass roof (up front) has a gasket that sits on the windshield stainless steel trim. The remainder of the top is lined with weather-stripping which will keep most of the water and wind noise out, however if this car is taken to a car wash, and the pressure washer is aimed at the roof to body lines, or the window to roof lines, some water will get in, just like any old Mustang. · Where can I buy a roof? These custom-made roofs are made specifically for the 1964-66 and 1967-68 and depends on your car's configuration. The one on this car is for a coupe to roadster conversion. The frame is reinforced and the roof is cut off and filled in with prefabricated metal filler panels. If you want more information I can send you some tech articles. The price is about $3000 shipped. Note this is for the fiberglass roof only. The back window, drip rail and window trim is not included. Contact me for more information. If the top you want is for a coupe to hardtop convertible conversion like this one is you will need to reinforce the frame (I have a link that shows how this is done) you will also need to change over to fastback door windows. Call Ralph at 801-397-2345 to order. No. The trunk can not be opened with the roof on. The car is available anytime for inspection and a test drive with proof of money. Please make arrangements before the auction ends. The closest airport is ECP (Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport). I also have a couple videos attached. Please feel free to call or text Jamie, 801 388 1292. AS IS - NO WARRANTY Standard with most classic vehicles.
