Vehicle Detail
Survivor, No reserve auction 1961 Ford F100 Legendary Factory built truck from Dallas, Texas. Here is your chance to own a factory correct rare 1961 Ford F100 that was built locally at Horn/Williams Ford and has been in DFW since it's build date. The current owner is the 3rd person to title the truck. This truck runs excellent, starts every time, stops, stears, and handles as it did when it was new. The paint on the truck looks to be original with only a repaint on the roof recently. I'd call the entire truck a survivor, it is not perfect, slick, or any type of show vehicle, but it looks as it should being a 52 year old truck. The beauty of this truck is that it has not been messed with, chopped up, or modified any any way. The factory add on hang down air even blows cold. All lights work properly, as well as gauges and radio. Straight 6 cylinder with 114 Horsepower @ 3600 RPM. It's not a race truck but it pulls good. 3 Speed manual column shift, AM radio. New Repairs:New clutch kit, surfaced flywheel, throwout bearing, pressure plate, clutch assembly less than 500 miles, works perfectly. All brakes rebuilt, lines flushed, work perfectly, factory 4 wheel drum non power.Carburetor recently rebuilt, pull the choke and it starts every time.Gas tank is new and was just replaced.Fuel pump is new.Oil pan gasket was replaced.Oil filter adapter was replaced.New plug wires and spark plugs with carb rebuild.Park light sockets recently replaced.New dual exhaust system, sounds great.New fan belt.Tires less than one year old.Front and rear window rubbers replaced when roof was painted.Door weatherstrip replaced. This truck will go anywhere and is reliable, it is not perfect and you should not expect it to be, it is priced at no reserve and will sell to the high bidder. This is easily a 10,000 dollar truck with its history and its excellent condition. The underside is very solid and shows no rust. The body is very clean with only normal wear and tear. Interior is great for its age. The headliner needs to be replaced, it has insulation up there now as you'll see in the pics. I am selling this car for a customer, please contact me directly with questions at 972-496-3278. Feel free to make an offer on the truck and I will contact the owner. You are also welcome to send an inspector and look it over or come by our shop yourself to see it in person. I will deal with overseas buyers, but no games we have seen them all, all funds will clear before the car ships and all out of state or overseas transactions will be wire transfer only or cash in person. On Aug-22-14 at 05:44:53 PDT, seller added the following information: The paperwork pictured is included, which is the factory dealer warranty card, the first tire purchase, a sign that a dealer used in the window in the 70's that says not for sale, for show only, and any other documents the owner has. Lots of cool history here that make this an even more special truck.
