1983 Audi 5000 Turbo Diesel This vehicle spent most of its life in Washington state. I believe it's only been in the Midwest for one winter. There is minimal to no rust. The turbo engine and three speed automatic transmission work flawlessly. It drives very well! Please look closely at the pictures as they tell a story. Note: The odometer is stuck at 50,284 miles. Actual miles are unknown. The vehicle history report shows they are somewhere above 111,000 miles. The good stuff! It starts right up. It's Diesel. It can be converted to run on used vegetable oil from the local hamburger joint. It has a huge power sunroof. The car is unmolested. The tires are nearly brand new and it has a full size spare. The shocks are stiff and the car rides great. The steering is tight. The exhaust is perfect. The clear coat is flawless and it has the original undercoating. It has a working power antenna with an aftermarket detachable CD player. If you live in Illinois this vehicle is not required to have an emission test because it is pre 1996. The not so good: The gas gauge does not work. The front left wheel bearing hums when you turn to the right. The brake rotors are slightly warped. You can feel it when braking at high speeds. There are two stone chips near the upper middle part of the windshield. The A/C and power locks do not work. The interior is not perfect. The seats have some material worn in a few spots. One of the speakers does not work. It has a crease in the passenger front fender. The headlights work but the brights have to be switched on. So all four of the headlights are turned on at night. (it's actually not very bright at all and no one has flashed me for having them on). The drivers outside door handle is slightly loose. The cruise does not work. All of the Power Windows work although there is only one switch (currently on drivers window). All of the windows can be opened but you have to plug the switch into each windows connector. So it needs 3 window switches. I recommend Shokan in New York for misc parts. They are an exclusive Audi only junk yard. They can be reached at 1-800-All-Audi other details.. All of the CV boots are intact. The e brake works. Car comes with a bra, dash pad and aftermarket roof rack.
