Over a year spent on this frame up restoration and just completed it, so all the new parts and work I'll list were done in the last few months. No expense spared. We went overboard on everything and ended up with one of the nicest convertible Mustangs I've ever seen. It would be much easier to list the things that aren't new, but here goes.Exterior:It has a beautiful Firethorn Red Metallic paint job done right. Wet sanded, buffed, waxed, smooth like glass. Most cars look better in the pictures, but this is one that definitely looks better in person. The pearl and metallic really pop in the sunlight, and the car looks multiple shades of red from different angles. The first thing people say when they see it is "Wow, I love that paint..." The body is straight and everything lines up nicely. It has a better fit and finish then it did from the factory. I am picky about the little details so we spend hours making sure the hood, trunk, and doors line up right with equal spacing etc. The wheels are 18" chrome with Pirelli tires and spacers to bring them out a little to improve the look and stance of the car. Both bumpers and bolts are new. All of the emblems are new. The door handles and locks are new. New trim around wheel wells. The rocker panel trim is new. Most of these items were in great condition, but like I said, we went overboard and just put everything new. All the aforementioned trim pieces were put on in the final stages last week and are in perfect condition with no scratches. The convertible top and window is brand new and professionally installed with new pads and cables. It seals nicely and looks perfect and tight. New wipers. An often overlooked area on older cars is the weather stripping. We put brand new weather stripping throughout the car. The convertible top weather stripping, around both doors, around the trunk, all the stops and seals, and even new window rubber and window felt. The window all go up and down smoothly and don't shake or rattle when driving or closing the door. And the doors close tight and smooth like a new car. It's these types of details that make this car so special. Interior:Like the exterior, we stripped the interior down to nothing and started over with mostly new parts. All the dash trim pieces are new. It has custom gauges with red needles and centers to better match the car. We installed a working tachometer where the clock would be in the gauge cluster. We even replaced the lights in the gauges with red LEDs to give it a unique look. The interior lights are red and even the shifter on the floor lights up red. The carpet is new and the higher quality brand molded correctly with heel pad and correct padding underneath. It has an aftermarket FM radio with four Alpine speakers. The heat and defrost work great. New red and carbon fiber pedals. New red and carbon fiber steering wheel to match. The original steering wheel will be included. These cars were difficult to get into with the big wheel and I'm a big guy so the smaller wheel makes it much easier for me. The seats are in excellent condition with working red seat belts. All of the areas of the interior that are metal were painted to match the exterior. The black door panels are new and look great contrasting against the metallic red on the door. All four window cranks are new. That color red looks great with the black and makes this one of a kind interior really turn heads. Drivetrain:This car is a great driver with POWER DISC BRAKES and POWER STEERING. New brakes. New brake lines. New fuel lines. New gas tank. New bushings and ball joints. New shocks front and back. Rebuilt 302 with boss valve covers and air breather. New plugs and performance insulated wires. New ignition coil and distributor. New master cylinder. New battery terminals and cables. All new hoses and new belt. New fan blade. New exhaust. Engine runs strong and smoothly. Transmission shifts smoothly. The 302 is known as Fords "bullet proof engine" and this one will take you anywhere, anytime. The car is so light with that big V8 it really moves. But it also gets good gas mileage because the engine doesn't have to work hard when you're just cruising so it's the best of both worlds. You will have lots of fun cruising with the top down and everyone waving and honking at you. It is a real attention getter.
