Vehicle Detail

2004 Subaru WRX wagon 2.0 turbo I have been personally rebuilding salvage vehicles for the last 15 years on the side. I am also the owner of a mobile electronics business for over 20 years. I specifically target low flood vehicles at auctions because of my electronics background. I find that they are easily repairable. This 2004 WRX is a reconstructed flood vehicle. The car must have been parked on a hill. Water level was deeper at the rear of the car (top of the bumper) than the front of the car the (middle of the wheels). There was no water found in the transmission, motor or differentials. Power windows, Power locks, Automatic transmission, 6 disc cd changer, power mirrors, cruise control, fog light, AC, ABS, front rear disc brakes, To begin, I completely removed the interior to determine what parts will be replaced, basically everything that has come in contact with water. The main airbag harness, all modules, sensors inside and outside vehicle, and front seats (side airbag) have been replaced from a donor vehicle. The airbag harness also includes the main harness from the left and right kick panel to the back of the car. The ECU is located on the passenger side front foot well and was also replaced. All plastic panels and carpet are cleaned dried and reused. Externally. I installed new front and rear brakes with cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads. I replaced the exhaust system from the downpipe back with exhaust from a 2007 STI with only 10K miles, (same as WRX with different muffler). The charcoal canister and sensors were also replaced (located behind rear passenger wheel). Before even trying to start the car I installed a new timing belt and all pulleys just in case of a seized pulley which can brake the belt and bend valves. All fluids and filters front to rear have been changed. Again. not a drop of water was found mixed in with any oil. Absolutely NO - check engine, airbag, or ABS lights. After everything has been completed. The car goes through a enhanced inspection at specific shops that have been trained to determine if salvage vehicle have been properly repaired. Only then are you able to register, insure, and drive the vehicle. After that. The car still has to go through the standard vehicle inspection (done last week) before stickers are put on the windshield. I have been driving the car for the last couple of weeks. Everything is working as it should. Tires have 80% tread, brakes are new, all fluids, changed, cold AC, and a new timing belt and pulleys. I just had the car professionally detailed and as you can see by the pictures the car is in very good condition. Over the last 3 years I have become a big fan of Subaru. I road race a 2002 Subaru wrx (flood vehicle) and have personally built the car from the ground up. I have bought and sold many Outbacks / WRX / STI's floods and wrecks over the years.I know these cars inside and out. My wife drives a 2011 Mercedes and I drive a 2001 Ford Excursion, Both flood vehicles. I will ship the car, but Buyer is responsible for setting up and paying all shipping costs. I am located in Perkasie PA 18944. Please email me if you would like to see and drive the car.
