1998 FORD EXPLORER SPORT 4X4 This is my daughters' car. The brake line rusted through a week before it was due for state inspection. The whole line should be replaced from the front to the rear. It also needs several other repairs the clutch on the air conditioner is bad, needs a inside drivers door handle, a left rear tail light lens and the body is rusted through at the rear of the door jambs and on the bottom of the rear quarter pannels behind the doors. That is the items I know about. She decided to get another car instead of fix this one for inspection so I did not check out anything else. But it drives well no shimmies or major noises. It may soon be ready for a set of brake pads I am not sure. it has 186,000 miles on it. Like I said it runs great, four wheel drive works, tires are over 50%, tranny seams good to me. It has a brand new alternator on it that is only a few months old. The full size spare looks brand new like as if it has never been on the road.
