Because a previous sale didn’t materialize, this is re-list. You won't find many late '80s Land Cruisers in better shape, regardless of the miles. The photos tell the story. This1988 FJ62 was designed for off-roading, but the absence of wear suggests it hardly ever left the pavement. Body panels are near perfect. Chrome bumpers are rust free. Original paint indicates this truck wasn't parked outside often. Only serious rust is behind rear wheel wells and the rear hatch where glass meets sheet metal. Inside, cloth seats are like new. The headliner doesn't sag. Neither do the sun visors. The former owner's constant attention to maintenance is evident in the bundle of receipts he left with us. In addition to regular oil changes and tire rotations, he invested thousands of dollars recently in a new front suspension, new starter, new alternator, a new radiator, brakes, an AC compressor and clutch, new shock absorbers, a fuel pump and injectors, an exhaust, a transmission. That 9500i winch from Specter Off-Road is brand-new, as are all four tires. Suffice it to say in all the years we've been brokering cars and trucks we've not seen a 200,000-mile, 25-year-old Land Cruiser in such good shape. It’s good to go as is.
