This is the Euro version of the 928 that came out in 1983 which had a bigger engine (300hp) than the US model - it's fast ! I've owned this car for years, however, it has been sitting in my yard for many years without being run. I just recently put a battery on it and it does start and run. Before taking it out on the road, I would suggest a tuneup (plugs/belts) and changing all fluids. Being over 30 years old, the vehicle has the expected wear & tear and paint chipping on the front (as can be seen from the pictures). VIN - The vehicle was manufactured outside the US and wasn't intended for use in the US (the dashboard messages/alerts are in German). It was originally imported to a dealer in Florida. The VIN listed above is NOT the VIN for this car - it was just used to get past the Ebay screen requiring a VIN it would recognize. It does start, goes forward and backward, and the idle is rough. However, there is a reason it's up for bid @ $1,000 instead of $10,000 - it IS going to need work to get it running well. It has sat for well over 5 years without being started. Fluids thicken, seals deteriorate, parts rust, gas goes bad. Please don't be under the assumption that the day you get the car you're going to put on the plates and take it for a spin.
