Vehicle Detail
1977 PORSCHE 911”S” Targa Here is video of the car in action. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuLAOPuBxPs&feature=youtu.be More Pictures Here http://s722.photobucket.com/user/thompson-mfr/story/16473 and here http://s722.photobucket.com/user/thompson-mfr/slideshow/1977%20Porsche%20911S%20Targa and here http://s722.photobucket.com/user/thompson-mfr/slideshow/1977%20Porsche%20911S%20Targa/1977%20911S%20close%20ups http://www.hagerty.com/valuationtools/hvt/vehiclesearch/Report?vc=1313769 First off I am selling this car because I found a 912E for cheap and can justify the price more than this more expensive 911. I would like to keep both, but Wife and 2 kids (4 and 1 year old) only allow so much pleasure driving. If you have any questions about the car I can be reached at ….. 503-702-9276 Ryan Thompson This is a nice car! The values of this era 911 are going up rapidly. I would consider it an arrive and drive car. It runs very well. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it across country. VIN: 9117211685 Engine Number: 6273777 (matches number of 2.7 no reason to believe it was ever changed) (6=Cylinders 2=”S” 7=Last digit of year’77 3777=Last 4 Characters production number for year) Color Code: 700-9-2 “Black” Mileage: 188000 (reworked at some point from what I can tell) Title: Clean Clear Oregon Title and In My Name (Tags till 2015) MECHANICAL/MAINTINANCE ENGINE INFO: 2.7L 165HP W/FACTORY CIS (CONTINUOUS INJECTION SYSTEM) I just performed the 15,000 mile service including the following: Oil Change Castrol GTX 20W-50 (new washers on case and oil tank) Mann Oil Filter Valve Adjustment (it has 930 Turbo lower valve covers for better cooling) Replaced valve cover seals Changed all Spark Plugs with Bosch Super Plus 7992 Replaced Cap and Rotor Adjusted Points and Timing (points looked good, so no need to change) New Heater Hoses Battery is not that old 5/12 (starts strong) Upgraded fan (done by Previous Owner’s mechanic) All smog related parts removed as far as I can tell. (See pictures) no thermo reactors left (equivalent of catalytic converters today. Most take them off) Air Box pop off valve installed by Previous Owner’s mechanic The car runs awesome. The engine shows signs of being reworked. I don’t have any documentation though. It starts and runs very nicely. The previous owner had it for 13 years and moved and lost his box of receipts. He was not mechanically inclined, so could not remember all he had done to it. He did indicate he had a good service history over the 13 years he owned it. INTERIOR: The interior is nice except for the driver’s seat butt has two slits. The dash is nice, straight, and crack free. The door panels are in great shape. The carpet is in great shape. Overall it has a very nice interior. It has a Kenwood flip CD player/radio when you aren’t using it flips and is hidden. Power antenna works as it should. EXTERIOR: The paint is in decent condition, not perfect. Scratches and chips here and there. Very presentable. I just touched it up and had it professionally detailed. There is no rust anywhere on the car. (See extensive pictures) The targa top is in great shape. The seals were replaced recently and the top was reupholstered. There are 4 new tires on the car purchased from Les Schwab. The tool kit is included and from what I can tell all there. The Fuchs alloy wheels were just refinished (10 hours per wheel) If you want any more info give me a call Ryan Thompson 503-702-9276
