This auction is for a 1965 Mercedes 230SL. It does not have an engine or transmission, and I'm not sure what happened to the original engine. It belonged to my uncle, and he had a small block Chevy 350 in it. And apparently he'd take it to a drag strip in Southern California and won quite a few races. But later he pulled the engine and put it in another car. The body is in very good shape. It comes with a hard top and a soft top that is still new in the box. It sat in my grandma's garage for about 15 years. Unfortunately, some rats got into it and chewed up the interior (see pictures), so that will need to be redone. This would be a fantastic project car. Restored, these cars easily sell for $30k or more. I had hoped to fix this up myself, but need money for a cross country move. Good luck!
