This is a pretty cool find....its a 1965 Oldsmobile F85 Vista Cruiser station wagon...has a V8, automatic trans, power steering and power drum brakes. Also has power rear window, remote side mirror, clock, passengers side rear view mirror and a roof rack. Wagon looks like it has been sitting around for a few years..but starts right up and moves under its own power. Engine is running off an auxiliary gas tank and probably needs a good tuneup. Oil looks brand new in the engine. Engine is quiet and sounds like it is in good shape. Have the rear bumper...it needs straightening and new chrome. Its a factory red on red wagon...looks like it was painted long ago with a brush or something...but you can see the original red all over the car. Front clip of the car is in GREAT shape...has some rust on the passengers side front floor pan probably from a leaky heater core. The spare tire well and the right most corner of the storage area where the aux gas tank is rusted through and needs repair too. Basically the Vista window bottom channels are rusted in spots and it let water in the car...im sure its a pretty common problem with these...because if this car has it..being from Socal...they are probably susceptible to this kind of rust. So has some rust through that is under the bottom edge of the trim...some on the front windshield bottom too. Rear passenger side door corner needs work. Rear seat floor area is mint as are the other three doors. Just some weird spots here and there from the vista windows leaking water in. Some of the interior moldings for the Vista windows need repair or replacing since they got the brunt of the water leaking in. Tailgate inner corner has a rust spot...but the rest looks good and its worth saving. Original AM radio works and sounds good..the rear power tailgate window works as do the head and taillights. Tried the turn signals but they didnt work...might just need a flasher. Fix it up a little and drive as you go or a good candidate for a more comprehensive resto. Has its original hubcaps too...its really a very original wagon. Check out the pics of the engine compartment...all the ac is there and connected..original aircleaner..etc. Hard to find something 50 years old this complete. Most door panels are torn on the tops from the sun...front seat is more sun weathered than the back..maybe the back was folded down for years.. Its a low production Vista Crusier...and neat looking car..have a clean CA "title only" in previous owners name...a "title only" means it isnt currently registered...
