tuddy5 Store FEEL FREE TO MAKE AN OFFER, AND I CAN SELL IT AT ANYTIME. I CAN TALK VIA PHONE IF YOU PREFER AND I CAN HELP YOU WITH THE SHIPPING PROCESS IF NEEDED. 1952 FORD F-6 COE CABOVER TRUCK This ford was bought new by a resident in my small montana town. I have a copy of the original sales invoice, and it was not cheap at the time. This was primarily used for hauling christmas trees. Eureka Montana was the christmas tree capital of the world at one time, and exported many trees. Also included are some old christmas tree permits from the 1950's that were in the glovebox. This COE has an excellent body to start your project. It is rust free, very straight, and very original. It does have the flathead V8 engine also. Clear title. This will be a great truck for a pickup rod, car hauler, rollback, topkick 4x4, or? Many possibilities. These trucks look great with longbox stepside boxes from the era. Those longboxes are somewhat easy to find out here and I can help you locate one and possibly include with shipping. You can of course put shortboxes on them but the longbox looks better in my opinion with the coe cab height and proportions. CLEAR TITLE. Thanks and happy bidding. I HAVE MANY MORE PICS I CAN SEND TO YOU IN A LINK. EBAY DOESN'T ALLOW PHOTOBUCKET LINKS ANYMORE AND I CAN ONLY PUT 24 ON HERE. MECHANICAL This truck has what is most likely the original flathead V8 engine. It is the 96 horsepower version. I have not tried to get it running, and the carburetor is gone. It has the manual transmission that is original also. The shifts and should be usable. This truck appears to have what is most likely a 2-speed rearend. I don't know how to operate it but by looking at the rearend and data tag, that's what it is. Data tag states two different gear ratios, and the tag is pictured. Tires hold air and don't leak. It rolls and steers easily. Parking brake probably works but I haven't tried it. Engine appears complete with exception of the carb. BODY The body is exceptionally nice for an unrestored COE. It is rust free and very straight. Not perfect, but close to it. No bondo. No large dents and very few small dents. Floormat is out and floors and jams are very nice. Frame is rust free, as are most from montana. This will be a very easy body to prep for paint. Doors and hood close as they should. INTERIOR Seats are usable for a rat style and are original. Drivers seat has large factory spring under it which is the "air ride" of the era I guess. Kind of cool. Dash area is in pretty nice shape for an old truck. Old open-gear jack is pictured and may have come with this when new. It's similar to a bottle jack, but not hydraulic. It's definitely as old or older than the truck. Although this was a work truck, the previous owners didn't hammer or abuse it. It's in better shape than the majority of vehicles you'll see that were used in the woods in montana. OVERALL If you've seen a restored or rodded COE, you know how cool they are. Everyone likes them and kids think they are great. Many people put them on newer chassis, but you can use this frame/chassis and shorten it to fit your needs. Sold as-is. Thanks and happy bidding. On Jul-22-14 at 06:23:17 PDT, seller added the following information: I also have a picture of the original sales invoice I can send. Also, the title for this truck is the original. Issued in February of 1953, this truck has only had one title!
