1969 Chevrolet Corvette Survivor 2 Top Convertible 95% Orig 350 Auto Must See!! This 1969 Corvette Convertible is a time capsule.Pretty loaded with options Corvette. Would have listed @ $5900.00 when new.I have a copy of title when the Corvette was brought into Ky in 1995 with 91150 (misprint earlier) on it. It was traded to a dealer in 1999 in Lexington, Ky in 1999 and the title shows 91400 miles. So less than 1000 miles since 1995.It now shows a little over 92000 since I have been driving it on nice days and will continue to show more as I drive it more. We purchased it from an auto shop owner who had rebuilt a few things on the Corvette over the years to make sure it was dependable and safe so he and his wife could drive it. Among those things were rebuilt SS brakes and lines, rebuilt carb, rebuilt air conditioning compressor and added new coolant, new exhaust, new tires, new battery, shocks, and more. Everything seems to work including all vacuum on headlights and cowl piece, lights, all gauges but the clock, engine seems fresh, does not smoke, rides tight for this model of Corvette, horn, air conditioning and heater as well as blower motor, shifts firmly, carb kicks in as it should, and EVEN the Fiber Optics work. See the picture of the center gauge console and at idle you will see all the gauges work except for the clock. This Corvette rides and drives as it did in 1969! I had a few of these C3's and this is the tightest and quietest one I have had. This was originally (per the trim tag) a Daytona Yellow Corvette. We feel it had some type of very minor car accident and was re-painted sometime very early with 1966-1967 Butternut Yellow LACQUER paint job. A professional had it on a lift and no frame damage or rust was seen on the chassis. The front windshield has been replaced, but the side and rear glass on the hardtop are date coded and stamped correctly so they have not been hurt or replaced. It does have some spider-web cracking and various chips and scratches on the body that have been touched up, so it is NOT show quality. It would have to be re-done for that, but it looks really good as a driver or survivor type Corvette. The interior is almost all original I believe with the exception of the floor mats. Everything is there and working except the clock needs to be rebuilt. It has all original seat belts, the center gauge and brake consoIes are great, power windows work, Am/Fm radio plays, etc. I have just pulled the Hardtop off and inspected the convertible top. The convertible top does NOT appear to be original as I cannot find a date code or stamp on the left rear part of the window, it appears like it was put on and never used. It does have some dirt and dust stains but appears nice and it probably can be cleaned. The engine and engine compartment were cleaned (not detailed as I wanted to leave it as original as I could) and we made sure everything worked as it should. We did we replace the valve covers with a set of L82 valve covers. The orange valve covers that were on it were not the correct year orange valve covers that would have been on the 300 horse motor. If you look at the pics you will see a lot of original parts that probably came on the Corvette. It has correct fuel filters, ignition shielding, some original hoses and brackets, decals, air cleaner, etc. Tires are BF Goodrich Radial TA’s in great shape on correct Rally wheels with caps and trim rings. They are also probably original since they have some scuffs and dings in them too. I looked at the spare. It is a Firestone Sup-R-Belt G78-15 on a grey rally wheel. All in all, I think this is about as good as a survivor type Corvette as you will find other than the re-paint in the incorrect color. It is a Corvette that can and should be DRIVEN in its current state and be enjoyed while driving it or taking it to a car show or cruise. If you correct the paint or detail the Corvette….it will not be original anymore, and I think that is this Corvette’s strong point. It is as close to what a 1969 Corvette was back in 1969 after it was driven awhile….and that’s the fun part! Please call me and ask any questions you might have or I will send other photos to your email if you need them. 812-309-8388 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Vin # 194679S726514 # 1 Chevrolet 94 Corvette 67 Convertible 9 Year 1969 S St. Louis 726514 Production Number (Late Car-Final production number was 738762) 1969 Corvette 350-300 Horse Specifications FEATURE SPECIFICATION Engine: 350 cubic inch V-8 Horsepower: 300@4800rpm standard Compression Ratio: 10.25 to 1 Carburetor: Four Barrel Transmission: 3 speed manual standard Shippng Weight: 3091 lbs (coupe) 3096 (convertible) Production Total: Total 38,762 (22,129 coupes) (16,633 convertibles) Factory Price: $4781 (coupe) $4438 (convertible) Chassis Dimensions: Wheelbase 98 inches Length: 182.5 inches Width: 69.0 inches Height: 47.8 Ground Clearance: 6.0 inches Front tread: 58.7 inches Rear tread: 59.4 inches Tires: F70x15 Trim Tag M08 August 1969 8th Day984 Daytona Yellow ZQ4 Black Vinyl Options RPO# DESCRIPTION QUANTITY RETAIL 19467 Base Corvette Convertible 16,633 4,438 A31 Power Windows 9,816 63 C07 Auxillary Hardtop (Covertible Only) 7,878 252 C60 Air Conditioning 11,859 428 G81 Positraction Rear Axel 36,965 46 J50 Power Brakes 16,876 42 M40 Turbo Hydra-Matic Automatic Transmission 8,161 221 N37 Tilt-Telescopic Steering Column 10,325 105 N40 Power Steering 22,866 105 PU9 F70x15 White Letter Tires, Nylon 2,398 33 U69 AM-FM Radio 33,871 172 Original Part Numbers Intake Casting Number #3927184 350-300 Horse Cylinder Head Casting Number #3947041 350-300 Horse Exhaust Casting Number (Left) #3872765 350-300 Horse Exhaust Casting Number (Right) #3932461 350-300 Horse Distributor Number #1111490 350-300 Horse AC Compressor Number #5910738 350-300 Horse Both side windows are date coded Rear Hardtop Window is stamped Clock does not work.
