I've been the owner of this car since 2002. Its been a great car over the years. 2 big issues I had in the past... the timing belt snapped while driving on the highway a year and a half ago. I put a remanufactured head, head gasket, timing belt, water pump, gaskets, valve cover gasket, 170degree thermostat, and a new cooling fan switch last summer. And about 7 years ago I put in a transmissions because the car was slammed and hit a raised sewer cap. The trans in there now has 110k on it. I will list all the pros and cons I can think.....Pros.... 15" 2000 accord winter rims with good tires in front a new tires in the rear17" giavanni rims for the summer(need tires)and do have plenty of curb rash from the ex girlfriendviper 791 alarm with remote start(remote is worn)Hid headlightsclear cornersbrand new clear blinkersred tail lightspainted stock moldings and mudguardsaxle back exhaust with silencer.2 10" inclosed pyle subs in trunk with 350watt amptinted windowsno check engine lightstarts like it was brand newinterior is super cleangreat commuter car cons.....car was completely repainted in 2005 and has many chips on the hood(was hit at a red light and pushed into the truck in front at a slow speed) no airbags deployed or anything. just fender and hood and rear bumper cover replaced but i wanted the car to match and it was 10years old so I had the entire car sprayed.rear quarters have the typical honda rust(same as my 90coupe had)A/C was working before the belt slipped but its not working now(the compressor is spinning and not seized)need tires on the summer rimsthe radio face can only be seen in direct sunlight. so you must use the remote or put a new faceplate on.the AC fan does not turn on at all and the motor has been running hot and kicking out some coolant, it doesn't appear to be the head gasket because the compression test has all cylinders over 150 and there is no coolant and oil mixing, so i THINK its just a fan issue in this hot weather. Or throw a H22 in.srs light was on but burned itself out.needs 4 strutsand it needs an axle immediatelysome photos show the eyelids on it but one broke so i removed both.
