Vehicle Detail
Hello, my name is Oliver and this is the bike I built. It began as a white police bike and evolved into a sexy shiny beast. Her name is Clair but you can rename it if you like. She enjoys long drives on whatever winding road you can find in Florida and drinks 89 petrol. The engine is a just broken in K75, transverse 3-cylinder The brakes have all been overhauled with a Ducati Brembo cylinder on the front and new brembo for the rear, pads are in great shape also. Front tire is a Pirelli Sport Demon, Rear is a Diablo Rosso Koso Digital Speedo with blue lighting for night time (required a special speed sensor handmade in Belgium) Headlight is an oversized DCC, powdercoated also by Dime City Cycles Brooks leather grips (which required some serious machining from a friend to make work on the throttle) Tarozzi clip ons (if you find it is set in too aggressive a position for you, I can put the bars over the triple tree) They are completely adjustable) Replaced forks OEM Joker Machine foot pegs The bracket you see on the back holds an original Army Ammo can, I like it for storage but it is your choose as it can be removed very quickly as if it was never there. The ammo can will come with and it is probably the only and best looking way to add a little storage space) Handmade Aluminum seat (does need reupholstered at some point I may do it if this does not sell fast, already have microcell foam shaped and new, very sturdy marine vinyl) Handmade Aluminum rear light bracket Seat and rear light done by an old friend of mine who is a phenomenal aluminum tig wielder and taught me everything I know when it comes to fabrication. Everything else (the fenders, the tank, the side panels and brackets were all done by yours truly) English wheeled, and hand made aluminum fenders The rear is lovely because it floats above the tire Singlesided swing arm Upgraded Rear Mono Shock off of a 2013 Ninja 636, fully adjustable Handmade aluminum side panels all polished heavily JEGS ignition and starter incorporated into the side panel as you can see in the pictures (This keeps the handlebars free from unwanted, bulky buttons. Handmade aluminum key switch bracket. Polished Clean Aluminum Tank, stripped and polished heavily Rizoma mirrors (R69S style that come off the headlight, a throwback to the old Beemers) Aftermarket headlight and turn signal switch, and a very cool pit bike throttle I got the bike for 2000$ and I have put 4,000$ in parts and materials not too mention the months spent on it. These K engines make all other engines seem like they live in dog years. It's a tad over 30000 miles, which BMW will tell you that is right on the money where the engine actually breaks in because the cylinders are nikasil coated. If you do a little research you'll find that most of them will go to 300,000 miles and some have gone to 1 million. Sounds ridiculous but it's true, it is probably the smoothest and most bulletproof engine ever put on a bike. The bike has been regularly serviced, the splines regularly lubed, You don't need to touch anything for probably the next 15 thousand miles at least. I have taken care of just about everything. Then you will need to only lube the transmission and final final drive shaft, and do a minor service) If you want you can bring it to me then and I can do it for you because BMW will cost an arm and a leg for ridiculously simple things. To each its own This bike is a one off and turns heads everywhere I go. It is a BEEEAASSSTT!!!! Happy Bidding On Jul-13-14 at 14:39:13 PDT, seller added the following information: This Bike was originally made for police but never put into service On Jul-14-14 at 17:38:17 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jul-15-14 at 16:49:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I would also like to add that the valves have all been checked and everything is perfectly within spec. The clutch has also been checked with a micrometer and is literally a micrometer away from being brand new. I don't think this bike will need a new clutch for another 100000 miles, seeing the way it has wore up until now. These bikes are almost immortal.
