Vehicle Detail

1991 Honda CRX HF It pains me to sell this but I am relocating across the country and can't take this with me. It was my daily driver for several years while I was gradually restoring it (as you can see it's still is a work in progress). The mods I made were focused on higher MPG and comfort for long distance driving. Other than that the car is stock and was previously owned by an aircraft mechanic for most of it's life. I bought this car about six years ago when I had a 100mi commute and it served me well easily getting 50+mpg on the highway. With careful driving on the highway I get around 54-55mpg however even when stuck in city traffic I have rarely had a tank under 40mpg. In mixed driving it usually averaged 47-49mpg. Overall the car runs and drives fine, it does however need attention here and there. The good: -Runs good, the last trip I took in it was from Cincinnati to Austin to Miami back to Cincinnati and it ran flawlessly.-Lightweight Civic VX wheels for better fuel economy-Newer narrow tires (<10k miles)-Aftermarket cruise control-Seats were professionally recovered and used very little since then-New Carpet (not pictured, needs to be installed)-Integra steering wheel with cruise control buttons (buttons not connected, CC is currently controlled by buttons on the dash)-New axles and CVC boots 10k miles ago-Center console/arm rest fitted in place (not secured)-Trans was rebuilt/replaced about 60k miles ago The bad:-Some rust developed two years after I had it painted. I ground those areas down and applied POR 15 to halt it. I also removed the interior plastic panels and applied POR15 to all of the inner panels where rust did or would form. I drove it after that for two years and only pin head sized bubble has appeared since then.-I couldn't get it to come out in a picture but there is a foot long crack in the paint on the passenger side door-A/C was removed by the previous owner. I've included all the parts that I have for it and it appears to be complete but I can't guarantee as I never hooked it up myself. -Windshield has a crack and needs a new window gasket-One of the two shocks that hold up the rear hatch has a broken mount-The rubberized coating on some of the exterior trim pieces has come off and they now look chrome/stainless. As a general note PLEASE LOOK OVER ALL THE PICTURES. This car is over 20 years old now and has lots of dings, dents, city parking rash, scratches, tears etc. This certainly was not a garage queen, on the other hand it wasn't hacked to pieces and is largely original. Please note there is a deposit due within 24hrs of the auction ending and full payment must be completed within 7 days and prior to the title being signed over. For final payment please pay by cash or money order. On Jul-08-14 at 17:18:02 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer a few questions I have gotten about this yes this has the HF engine and HF trans. The trans was replaced but it was replaced with an HF trans. A few other issues I forgot to mention but wanted to get out there so nobody thinks I am hiding anything: -The horn doesn't work (didn't get a chance to connect it since I installed the integra steering wheel) -The distributor mount where it attaches to the block is cracked. The previous owner used an over-sized washer to accommodate this but I thought it was worth mentioning. -Between oil changes it uses about 1/2 qt of oil. As far as I know the engine has not been rebuilt and is original to this car, it does run good though.-Like virtually every CRX out there the plastic climate control panel is cracked. Still works, just cracked. Some have asked if they can drive it home. While I can't guarantee anything to anyone else, I personally have the confidence to drive the car to California and back.
