I'm the second owner of this Jetta 2002 2.0 GLS, I bought it in 2004 with 14k miles in Long Island City, NY. The car runs really strong. It has the check engine light on as you can see on the pictures, started last week, due to Transmission that is currently on Fail-safe mode; however, the engine is in great condition. I only put Premium gas and change oil every three months consecutively. it will drive anywhere with no problem. Transmission could be fixed/replaced for $700 and once fixed you'll have a like-new PowerTran system. I fully believe that the engine will go an extra 100k+ miles It has a broken armrest and a missing (broken) wheel cap - typical of all these jetta's. The driver's mat has a hole but the remaining originals mats are in really great shape. As you can see few scratches and winter salt dents on the front-right bumper and the missing side lamp. Front bumper needs some TLC. I always kept the car clean and parked in the driveway.
