We are listing this beautiful 1980 Honda CBX with no reserve! It has a clear Texas title and as you can see from the photos, it is in amazing shape after 34 years. There are no dents or dings on the tank and no cracks on the side covers. The paint is original, as is everything on the bike except for the Pipemaster 6 into 6 exhaust system. There are only a few minor flaws that keep this bike from being cosmetically perfect. There is a slight stain on the front fender that most likely came from spilled brake fluid. There are a few very light scratches on the left side cover. The clear coat on the engine side cases is not perfect. There are a couple minor chips on the rear tail section. None of these show up very well in the photos. As I stated above, the bike will come with the Pipemaster exhaust installed, however the original exhaust, which does not have any dents or dings will also come with the sale of the bike. This particular bike was purchased off of EBay a year ago. It leaked oil from the valve cover gasket, so all new top gaskets were installed. New Dunlop tires were put on the bike and the front master cylinder and fluid reservoir was rebuilt. A new O-ring drive chain was also installed and the brakes were changed. New fork seals were installed and BelRay 20W fork oil added. The carbs were removed, ultrasonic cleaned, and rebuilt. The bike ran amazing when parked in the climate controlled showroom a year ago. Since sitting, it does have a little trouble starting, I'm sure due to fuel varnishing up in the carburetors. The carbs will most likely have to be cleaned again. This motorcycle is selling as is with no warranty. We will require a non-refundable PayPal deposit of $500.00 within 24 hours of the auction's end. The remaining balance will have to be paid in full by wire transfer, cashier's check, or cash in person only before the bike is released.
