This Vette is an all original, matching numbers, fully optioned, no accident car, stored and maintained for many years by a Bloomington / NCRS judge. VIN number 1Z67Z4S433211. Options: LS4, 454ci Motor, 4 Speed Transmission, Auxiliary Hardtop (White), Power Windows, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Air Conditioning, AM FM Stereo Radio, Map Light Mirror, Tilt Steering Column. The 1974 Corvette is revered by collectors as being the last of one generation and the first of the next. Last year of the 454, no more convertibles for the next 11 years after 1975, and the last year of the true dual exhaust. 1974 was also the first year of soft bumpers, front and back, to cover the shock absorbing transverse tube complying with the new safety crash regulations which styling continues to this day. A private registry of 1974 Corvettes shows only 91 of the 454 convertibles are known to exist. Of these, 40% are matching numbers, about half are 4 speeds, and none have this rare and elegant combination of white exterior and silver leather interior. Hot Rod magazine, in its March 1986 issue, selected the 1974 Corvette 454 as one of the “10 most collectable muscle cars” which was the only big-block muscle car produced after 1970 worthy of that list. This rare corvette is a unique combination of a convertible, big block, 4 speed, air conditioning, and special order Silver leather interior. The build sheet may still be on top of the gas tank, as the tank has never been dropped. The condition of the paint, the interior, frame, chassis, and engine are all between a 4 and a 5. The car has been in dry storage for the past 26 years with regular maintenance. Please make arrangements to inspect the car in person or have it inspected by your representative. $500 deposit required within 2 business days of auction end.
