Initial considerations The car was bought last year with the intention to be my daily driver given the overall mileage and condition of the vehicle, but I soon realized that car is not really well suited for winter times, so basically it has just been stored for the last 6 months. Now I need the parking space because the family is growing and a bigger car is needed and therefore unfortunately I ll have to let this one go without actually having enjoyed it the way i envisioned. Having said that, depending on where you live, Get ready to enjoy the summer days and I m also positive this car is mechanically sound enough to be your daily driver and will give a lot of satisfaction. I quite like the colour combination; I wouldn’t call the dark metallic blue a rare colour (Royal Blue metallic), but it definitely sets the car apart from the usual red, white, black, gray and bronze found on E30’s and it goes really well with the blue top; I know opinions of that matter are entirely subjective, so have a look at the pictures and take your own conclusion! It has a clean carfax and it s completely stock with the classic chrome bumpers and bottlecap wheels. Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions or requests for more pictures (looks like ebay limits the number of pictures to 24 only), i can also try to send the carfax report upon request. Engine The engine has only 58k miles, starts right up and there s no such thing as rough idling. There are no leaks, brakes (including ABS) work as they should, automatic transmission is smooth with absolute no surprises. The previous owner said he didn’t have a long service history and unfortunately all he had was lost by me when i was doing a major clean up in my apartment (lost the service history of another bmw of mine too =[ ). Having said that, the timing belt was changed 6k miles ago and the drivetrain and oil change have always been serviced properly. Although the service history got lost, part of the history can still be confirmed on the carfax report and as i mentioned before, i can try to send you that if requested. I am including on the sale a brand new timing belt and water pump in case the new owner prefers to do some preemptive service. Interior I consider the interior of the vehicle to be in really good shape, it s not a garage queen, but you can tell whoever owned the vehicle took good care of it. the dashboard is crack free, sport seats have no rips or tears, AC, all electric windows, power mirrors and on board computer work as they should Body The soft top is in very decent condition and it s the BMW OEM one, not some aftermarket replacement. Having said that, 2-3 weeks after buying the car i was doing some work on the interior and ended up damaging the rear window. It was a small hole, but it had to be replaced and in this case i did use it an aftermarket rear window. The body is straight and the car is accident free. The original paint shows some age, but still shines really well and the only part where it s fading is on the fuel lid/cap. I cant find any rust in the body, absolutely 0 rust. When I bought the car the soft top lid was not working properly, so I had the shocks replaced and the cables adjusted, the side windows rubber channels that prevents water from coming in while help holding the windows in place were too dried and starting to crack, so I also had them replaced by brand new ones. Wheels are clean and tires are new. Flaws There are a few scratches and some dings on the car, nothing crazy for a car of that age As stated above, car service history was lostFront bumper got hit by something that left a "scar" on it, it doesnt bother me, but i can help soucing a replacement bumper if the new owner wants to replace it , think it costs 50-75 dollars to find another one.Radio doesnt seem to be workingBrake light on the check control unit is always on even though all the lights do work properly, searching online i found out that s something many convertibles e30's suffer from DisclaimerThe car is sold as is, without any warranty.
