Vehicle Detail
I'm listing this 68 Camaro for a friend of mine, please note that this car is in Northern R.I. for inspection purposes and not S. Fl. where I currently live. This 68 Camaro is in very original condition as you can see by the photos and I will try my best to give an honest description of it. This is a 327, 4 speed, 10 bolt Camaro that was sold new in Norwood Ma. The original owners manual and Protecto plate are still with the car. The engine and drivetrain are all original to the car. Exterior paint and body: This is an original Ralley Green car. The car has had 1 repaint as far as we can tell. The door jambs and areas inside the window tracks still retain the original factory Green paint. The paint is in fair driver condition, it also has some dings and chips as it was painted a long time ago. The driver side rear quarter bottom needs work as you can see by the picture of it. The passenger side bottom quarter is in much better condition. The 2 front lower fenders will also need some work as they are showing their age. There are some very minor bubbles under the rear window and vinyl top. Those are the only sheet metal problems. The trunk is very nice with its' original trunk spatter and the floors are rock solid. The original F-70-14 spare is still in the trunk with the jack and the other 4 rims are also original. All the factory stainless trim and weather stripping are still present as well. Engine compartment: This is the original motor with the vin stamped on the pad. It still has the smog system intact, original distributor, carb., radiator, manifolds, power steering unit, etc. Look closely at the photos and you'll get a very good idea of how unmolested the engine compartment is. The heater hoses, 2 belts. a couple of tower clamps and battery, are the only things that appear to have been changed since the car was new. The car runs and drives great. Interior: The interior is in impeccable condition for a 46 year old car. The dash pad is mint as is the dash itself. The original vinyl seats are in great condition, the headliner is perfect, the carpet still has the original date coded inspection tag. The seat belts are very nice as is the console with its' original shifter. The door panels are also very nice for 46 years old. Overall, this car is a very nice driver with much of it in survivor condition. These cars are getting harder and harder to find in this state. I also have many more pictures of the car than this listing will let me post for anyone interested. For any other questions please feel free to call 954-465-9357 Mike
