Vehicle Detail
Well I'm sure no expert on FJ-40's, but an elderly friend of mine bough this new and then passed it on to me. I know that 1977 was a good year for FJs. They have disc brakes, 2F engine, ambulance doors, as well as the 4 speed manual transmission. This jeep is over 37 old and I am selling it"as-is".Here is what I can tell you about it... It has just 133,000 mile. The top-end ( head, valves, etc) was re-done a short while back. It runs and drives excellent. It's sure not perfect but this land cruiser is 100% complete...100% original, and very un-molested. It looks like a typical "old Mans" vehicle. (C.B. radio, fire extinguisher, winch , etc.) It has power brakes with manual steering. It comes with the factory chassis manual, engine manual, and owners manual. It has some of the typical rust towards the rear of the jeep, but it's not very rusty-all- over all like most FJ'S it's age. (The floors, engine compartment, frame, etc are excellent)It still has the original wheels as well as the ugly factory stripes. Other than the tires being old, I am confident that you could drive this land cruiser home to any where that might be.The front seats need seat covers or maybe even new upholstery.(it's old and worn). It really does drive and run great. I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be disappointed in anyway. It's a bit dirty from sitting idle. The previous owner would drive it once a month or so. I have a clear and open Colorado title for it. My opening bid is $ 5,500.00 with no reserve. Now... all this having been said... I can't imagine finding a better running or a more original and un molested 1977 FJ-40 like this one for the price. I think that whoever ends up with it will be very pleased. It would be a great daily driver, or perhaps a candidate for restoration? Just my thoughts. Terms of sale...I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can. If you have zero feedback, contact me before you bid or your bid will be canceled, and you will be blocked from further bidding as well.
